Free £10m Public Liability Insurance

Childcare.co.uk offer £10,000,000 of free Public Liability insurance, underwritten by Markel International Insurance Company Limited, for all qualifying Childminders, Nannies, Babysitters, Private Tutors, Maternity Nurses and Nursery Nurses that are gold members of Childcare.co.uk.

Free Professional Indemnity Insurance

The policy also includes £100,000 of free Professional Indemnity Insurance for childminders, nannies, maternity nurses, private tutors and nursery nurses

Free £10m Employers' Liability Insurance

If you are a registered childminder and employ up to 2 staff, assistants or apprentices that work under your direct supervision then you can also receive £10,000,000 of free Employers' Liability Insurance. To qualify, you just need to supply us with your Employer Reference Number (ERN) unless you are exempt from requiring one.

Free Legal Expenses Cover

Members of our insurance scheme receive free Legal Expenses Cover and access to a 24 hour Legal Helpline.

The Legal Expenses Cover policy is underwritten, managed and administered by Markel International Insurance Company Limited.

Free Loss of Revenue & Suspension Cover

The policy now includes free Loss of Revenue & Suspension Cover for childminders, nannies, private tutors and maternity nurses. Cover it not included for members solely in the babysitter category.

If you are unable to work due to an interruption in your business then cover of up to £20,000 may be available.

If your childminding registration is suspended by your regulatory body (eg. Ofsted) then cover of up to £2,500 may be available.

Satisfies Ofsted, Care Inspectorate and EYFS Requirements

The Public Liability cover meets the requirements of Ofsted and Care Inspectorate Scotland & Wales, and is available to members located throughout the UK including Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Terms & Conditions and General Exclusions

The public liability insurance is available to individual Childcare.co.uk gold members in the childminder, nanny, babysitter, private tutor, maternity nurse and nursery nurse categories only. Once you are covered under the policy, any changes to your Childcare.co.uk account that would disqualify you from the cover, will result in your cover immediately expiring. If your gold membership expires then your cover will immediately cease. When submitting your details to apply, you must provide your correct full name and full address. If you change your name or address you must let us know immediately. Applications with invalid or non-current names and addresses will not be valid and you will not be covered. Cover is available for individuals only and not providers working in partnerships or companies.
