Hi,
My name is Sam, I'm 30 years old and I have 2 daughters (5 years and 13 months). I live in Torquay with my husband, daughters and 2 cats. I'm available for nannying on Wednesdays (I'd need to bring my youngest along) or babysitting in the evenings and weekends. I can also help out with school holiday care and I'd need both my children to come with me although this wouldn't impact on my care of any other children.
I am currently a supervisor for the Mental health support team in schools for the NHS but I've worked in nurseries and schools previously.
My level 3 safeguarding children qualification is up to date.
My Experience
I have been working with children in various settings since the age of 12. I am a qualified gymnastics coach and have been since I was 16 years old. I was responsible for the teaching and safety of up to 25 children at a time which was undoubtedly hard but I am good at keeping order and I find it very rewarding.
I have worked in nurseries and schools and worked with children from 3 months to 12 years. I am an extremely caring individual and I couldn't imagine doing anything other than working with children!
I worked in a summer camp summer 2015 in the U.S for 2 months where I worked with children of all ages. I have also worked for EF as an activity leader and a Local Teacher, taking care of 30+ teenagers, teaching English and ensuring they had an enjoyable time whilst doing so.
I am currently a supervisor to education Mental Health Practitioners where I support children who are experiencing anxiety and low mood as well as parents who are in need of help with their child's anxiety or behaviour.
I have 2 children myself and so I have newborn experience as well as experience working with children and teens up to 18.
My Qualifications
MSc Psychology
PgDip Mental Health in Education Settings
BA Child Development and Education (First class honors)
FdA with merit in Early Years Care and Education
Level 2 gymnastics qualification
Level 3 safeguarding children
3 A Levels in Biology, P.E and Psychology
10 GCSEs all at A or A* and so can help children with their homework or tutoring.
I have a DBS for work.
My Availability
All day Wednesdays, after 6pm weekday evenings, weekends and school holidays.
