Hello and thank you for taking the time to look at fox cub childminding profile.
Welcome to Fox cub.
I have managed day nurseries and worked in the childcare industry for over 10 years in the local area. I have decided along with my mum who has also worked in childcare for numerous years, to create fox cub childminders.
We have a spacious home which is situated within walking distance of large woodlands and fields in Caterham on the hill. We have implemented two play rooms. The first room has a variety of play areas for children to explore and develop their learning. The second room is set up as a creative zone where children can experiment all things messy and to develop their sensory skills. Our outside area is fenced and secure for the children to benefit outside activities and play.
We are both fully qualified as childminders and have our Level 3 in Childcare. We are registered with Ofsted and have completed a full pediatric first aid course and safeguarding course.
We ensure each child develops to their full potential using the EYFS for guidance.
We provide freshly prepared food throughout the day which is cooked on site. All meals and outings we go on in the day are all included in the prices.
My Experience
From an early age I have been caring for children as my mum was a child-minder and I have nieces and nephews I have helped care for. When I left secondary school I knew I really wanted to work with children and went straight into a nursery setting as a modern apprentice. It was there I completely my NVQ level 2 and NVQ level 3 in early years childhood studies. I thoroughly enjoyed working towards my qualifications and eventually became room leader for the under 2's unit. I loved working closely with the babies and parents to help settle them in to nursery life and make sure all their care needs were met. I also trained my team and shared my practise to make sure all the carers where caring for the children on a day to day basis. I worked very closely using the Early Years Foundation Stage, observing the babies and planning their next steps weekly. I also made myself available to the parents to discuss all their children's development and interests they had at nursery. I was room leader for 5 years.
I then went onto my current nursery where I am deputy manager. It was a great experience moving nurseries and I did thrive at the new challenge which my new role gave me. I work very closely with my nursery team on making sure all children and parents are welcomed and all their care needs are met. I also work very closely with my team leaders to make sure all rooms have the appropriate equipment and facilities to develop every child's individual needs daily. I have been here for 5 years now and would like a career change and really feel becoming a nanny would be really rewarding for me.
I am also willing to write daily hand over sheets of what your child has been learning and a little description on how their day has been. (Eating/sleeping routines. etc.)
Also I would make a scrap book file of observations and photos and link these using the Early Years Foundation pack, so you would be able to track their progress of learning through all the different areas.

My Availability
I am looking for a full time nanny position. (Mon-Fri). I am also willing to baby sit some evenings if family requires me, which will includes some weekends.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
7:30am-6:30pm = £62(fullday)
7:30am-1pm = £37(half day)
1pm-6:30pm = £37(half day)
7:30am-3:30pm = £47(school day)
All rates are calculated on a daily rate. All meals and outings are included in the prices.
