Hi my name is Katie, I have been working in childcare for 14 years.
I worked as a Assistant unit manager at a nursery for 9 years with all ages ranging from 3 months to 5 years, since then I have been working as a sen 1-1 in a local school.
I live with my husband, 3 children and our bouncy boxer dog.
My Experience
I have worked childcare for 10+ years and I am currently in a school working as a SEN 1-1, I also have experience in working with teenagers from my time working as a youth support worker in a local youth centre.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 2 and level 3 in childcare and education.
Passed St. John's ambulance first aid course. Safe guarding, EYFS training, ofsted requirements understanding,
behaviour course, under 2s course.
Paediatric FirstAid trained.
Steps training.
Understanding autism.
Adhd training.
My Availability
I offer evening and weekend babysitting however might be able to help out with some days so please feel free to ask me.

Katie has babysat our kids a few times now and it's always been such a pleasant experience. We'd never had a babysitter before but she made us feel confident and comfortable as soon as she arrived. The kids are always very happy to be left with her and clearly enjoy the time she's here. Katie is very flexible and understanding and always on time. She always makes the experience simple and easy. I would definitely recommend her.

Katie has now looked after my 1 yr old for 2 afternoons and Arabella has never seemed happier ! She instantly gets involved and is very engaged in Arabella’s world. I will definitely be using Katie again and would highly recommend.

We have hired Katie as our babysitter for a number of years. We have four children who are close in age.
We have found Katie to be very professional in her approach towards the childcare aspect. Katie has always been on time and any challenges in attendance has been notified early.
Katie immediately connected with the children and is very aware of methods to encourage the children to maintain a routine, behave well and do what is asked.
Our children very much enjoy having Katie as a sitter, which is always a good indication of an individuals childcare capabilities.
We can highly recommend Katie for childcare duties from our longstanding experience.

My children have been cared for by Katie for over a year now. First in an outstanding nursery setting as their key worker and more recently in my home, frequently babysitting during the day and evenings.
Katie is so caring and fun that my children all LOVE her and look forward to her coming. They are aged 2-10 and are more than happy for Katie to put them to bed, waving us off happily. Katie’s communication is excellent and timely. She has always been very responsible, personable, positive and flexible. I would highly recommend contacting Katie.
