About Me

Hi my name is Vicky, I run my childminding business from my own home in Rhostyllen near Wrexham. I live their with my partner Dave and two children katy and Dylan, my partner and I both have a full DBS check. I have two pet tortoises called Rocky and Roo who are kept in a tank in the extension, but do go in the garden in a small enclosed pen. I will encourage the children to respect and take care of the animals.

As a registered childminder I aim to provide a childminding service that allows boys and girls to learn and develop in a safe, secure, home-based environment. Play will be at the center of your child’s learning and development, and a wide range of activities and experiences appropriate to the age and stage of development will be offered. I will have a regular routine in the household that revolves around playtimes, rest times and meal times.

I am registered with the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) and am able to care for ten children from 3 months to twelve years. My service is open to all children and families and I can care for children with additional needs. All children require a settling in period in order to adjust to new surroundings and routines. I will also request a four week trial period on our contract, so if you, your child or I am not happy with the arrangements it can be terminated easily.

I have a secure large back garden comprising of concrete and grass which has play equipment that is checked and updated and suitable for safe outdoor play and learning through investigation. Their is two council maintained parks locally which we will visit regularly. Children will also be taken to local play areas, libraries and shops. My first language is English but I do use basic welsh. I will provide healthy and nutritious breakfast, snacks, and lunch. I provide a range of activities including arts and crafts/junk modelling, storytelling, singing, dancing, musical instruments, role play, construction toys and jigsaws. I can also provide school pick ups and drop off to local schools.
I hold a full clean driving licence and am fully registered and insured.
