Hello, my name is Savannah I have lived in the Wokingham area for 3+ years now. I am currently on maternity leave
(employed as a primary school teacher outside of the Wokingham area) after having my second child and am keen to move my job closed to home. I have a B3 and a G8months and I absolutely love spending time with them. My little boy will be starting nursery soon to help prepare him for school so I am searching for a family who would be ok with me bringing my little girl.
I love being outdoors and am I often out and about with the children visiting many places which create wonderful learning opportunities to thrive in. I am creative and often think of different exciting things to do on the spot or ways to adapt activities and incorporate learning opportunities into whatever I am doing but still ensuring that we are having a fab time!!
Apart from spending time with family I have a great interest in Spanish and currently learning the language, mindfulness and yoga and travelling.
My Experience
Since leaving school I have always worked in the childcare sector and have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know so many children and having the privilege of being part of their journey as they grow. I have had regular babysitting jobs so am used to looking after children in the comfort of their own home as well as various roles in nurseries progressing to a managerial position about 7 years ago. I then decided to explore a role in teaching which allowed me to extend my experience within a different setting, again which I have loved. Whilst working in Reception the school was graded Outstanding with OFSTED which was a great achievement in my working career.
Over the years I have a lot of experience with children presenting behavioural needs and SEN needs and have been successful in understanding and supporting them with their individual care and learning whilst remaining inclusive with my approach.
My Qualifications

*Full BA Hons degree in Children's learning and development
*Foundation degree in Children's learning and development
*CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Children's learning and development
*11 GCSE grades all passed (Child development - A)

*full and clear DBS check
*paediatric first aid as well as safe use of an epi pen

My Availability
I am available from September and currently looking for a role which would suit in between school hours however this is not restrictive at the moment so I am more than happy to discuss the requirements for your family and see if I may be able to accommodate your requirements.
As mentioned above I would have my little girl with me so I would be looking for a family who would be happy with me bringing her along.
