Hello, I am Amber, I’m 29 years old. I am a confident and outgoing person who enjoys meeting new people and takes pride in establishing and maintaining relationships with the children, families and colleagues I work with. I take great professional pleasure in watching the children I care for grow and develop into happy confident young people .
I strongly believe that childcare is a career for me not just a job. I take great pride in being part of nurturing and enabling children to be happy and confident individuals. I believe that every child should have the opportunities to enable them to reach their full potential and I see my role as a childcare provider being integral to that.
I am trained and experienced in the EYFS and have a full appreciation of the importance of offering a variety of activities that will support children to develop across all areas of learning and enable children to reach their full potential.
My Experience
I have had a variety of experience in many settings over the past 10 years
I most recently was a nanny for a wonderful family, with there 3 children between 9months-5years. I did light house hold duties, daily learning and educational activities, school collection and drop offs, overnight stays, baby clubs, extra curricular activities, meal preparation, bath times and most importantly fun. However unfortunately the children are all of an age where they are moving into preschool and education full time.
Previously was a nanny for a family locally to me with a little boy of 9months and was with them for just over a year, unfortunately due to covid they were unable to make use for a full time nanny
I left my role as a pre school practitioner of 4 years, as I started looking for a new role either as a nanny or working in another childcare environment.
I worked with a child minder for 2 years, looking after children of ages between 3 months and 10 years doing many activities indoors and outdoors and completing observations on the children to record there development.
I have also worked and done voluntary work in a school setting in the reception unit (4+) doing many educational trips, and other national curriculum activities.
whilst studying I was a nanny for a lovely family of 3 beautiful children with ages of 5,10 and 13 years, with this role I did school runs, homework, meal times and a occasional bedtime.
I have also done some work for a family friend with after school care for her down syndrome daughter, Helping her with homework and learning some basic sign language myself.
