About Me
I always wanted to childmind once I started my own family- and I love it! I've worked in many different childcare settings and and taken the best bits from each! I have just moved to S8 and provide a safe, nurturing and fun environment with loads and loads of learning opportunities. We have a good mix of home based play, visiting toddler groups and spending time exploring the outdoors. My daughter Phoebe is 6and my little boy Zac is 4.
My Experience
My experience ranges from when I was 6 and my Mum had triplets! - to becoming degree educated and working for various children's services. Whilst at university I ran a play group and worked for a nursery. I went on to become a Family Support Worker and then a Domestic Violence Outreach Worker and in both roles I was responsible for safegaurding children and making sure their needs were being met.
When I we decided to start a family and move to Cheltenham I spent some time working for a local nursery before I set up my own Childminding business. I childminded for 3 years in Cheltenham and am hoping to continue doing this amazing job again in SheffieldI have a full portfolio for your perusal and lots of really positive and reassuring parental feedback for you to read.
My Qualifications
I have a BSc (HONS) in Behavioural Sciences and chose to focus on child development wherever possible. I have an extensive training portfolio that is available for your perusal.
My Availability
I am available monday to Friday (Not including Tuesday), 7am to 8pm and I can collect/pick up from Mudella Primary school and Mount View pre-school.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
4.50 per hour per child which includes entrance into toddler/soft play groups/farms etc...and lovely home cooked food and healthy snacks!

I cannot speak highly enough of Rachel! She looked after both our daughters earlier this year (7 and 4), providing before and after school care for our eldest daughter and looking after our youngest all day. She has always been polite, professional and bubbly with so much attention and energy to offer. She had such a wonderful variety of activities, toys and visits for them to enjoy and they both loved spending time with her and the rest of her family. Rachel always provided great feedback at the end of each day, both verbally and in written form, and both girls always loved the snacks and meals she provided. They miss going 'to play' with Rachel now!
Overall
Rachel looked after my little girl and sometimes her older brother for about a year and we couldn't have been happier with her. My daughter Bea still asks to see her and when she can play with Phoebe and Zac. Rachel has oodles of energy and made sure that they were busy all day. Bea LOVED going to see Rachel and her older brother was always jealous when he wasn't going to join them.
When we were looking for a child minder, we wanted a setting that was as close to being at home with me as possible and I felt that the time Bea spent with Rachel and her gang was how I would have liked to be with her all the time. They baked, drew, painted, played games, went for adventures in the park and went to a lot of the local toddler groups that I had been going to previously. I really couldn't have asked for a better child minder and have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone looking for someone to look after their little ones.
