About Me
Hi. I am a registered Childminder with Ofsted and have worked with children and their families for nearly 25 years. I live with my husband and our two children in a quiet estate within Brackley.
Children can benefit from experiencing a homely environment in a designated play room, which is organised for children to play with a wide selection of toys which are changed regularly. There is also a book corner with stories according to the children's interests or learning and areas for writing and drawing or creative play.
The children also have access to a covered outdoor area where they can indulge in more messier play all year round.
Not only is the care and safety of the children in my care important to me, I am also passionate in providing age appropriate, fun and exciting learning experiences so the children develop to their full potential. This is carried out by providing individual play and activities according to the children's planned next steps and interests.
I also feel it is important the children in my care experience the world and the community around them, so we spend lots of time within the local area, visiting shops, talking to people who work in the community, visiting parks and green, natural spaces.
I provide all drinks, a mid morning and afternoon healthy and nutritious snack.
I am a member of the National Childminding Association and the Northamptonshire Childminding Association.
My Experience
I have worked with children and their families for nearly 25 years (which makes me feel very old!) within private nurseries across Oxfordshire and now within my own home as a Childminder.
In my last position, I spent 8 years as Deputy Manager. During my time there I gained knowledge and experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage, developing a strong method of observation, assessment and planning, which I now have adapted and use in my Childminding practice, provide individual, fun learning experiences for each child.
After having my first child in 2009, I decided to remain at home with him and set up my Childminding practice.
My Qualifications

NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing.
Childminding Sector Specific Module 5.
First Aid for Child Carers.
Safeguarding Children.
NVQ Level 3 Certificate in Management.
Early Years Foundation Stage - Observation, Assessment and Planning.
Promoting Positive Behaviour.
Including Children with Special Educational Needs in Early Years Settings.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.25 per hour
Hourly Rate: £4.25 an hour.
All fees are inclusive of drinks, snacks and a well planned, age appropriate curriculum.
