About Me
My name is Laura and I am a registered Childminder living in cox green in Maidenhead.
I have three boys my eldest two go to Secondary School and the youngest is in year 5 at Lowbrook Academy.
My most recent Ofsted inspection was graded “Outstanding “
Over the past year I have increased my business to include an assistant so we look forward to caring for 6 little ones on a daily basis
We enjoy going to the local parks and toddler groups, visiting the library for story and rhyme time, going to the river to feed the ducks and watching the boats, when its wet we sometimes visit the local soft play areas.
We are members of Odds Farm so we enjoy going to see the animals regularly.
I have a well equipped playroom and garden for children of all ages to enjoy.
I provide a four week varied menu which is all nutritional balanced, all snacks, are included.
I am happy to offer a vegetarian alternative.
I ask you to provide Nappies a bag for a change of clothes, welly boots and a waterproof all in one as we go out in all weathers.
My Experience
I have now been a childminder for 7years and I have cared for lots of families and we have enjoyed a professional relationship and still keep in touch.
Previously I worked in day nurseries for a main child care company " ChildBase".
I started with them as a Nursery Nurse and before I left to have my second son I had reached the position of Deputy Manager.
While I worked for them I gained experience with all the age groups, but started running the baby unit and even had the privilege of setting up the new baby unit once an extension had been added.
I have no favourite or preferred age group i am just fascinated at how children learn and progress.
I particularly enjoyed the role as Deputy as i got to show round new parents and be the first person they come into contact with.
My first son attended the nursery for two years while I worked there which he thoroughly enjoyed.
My Qualifications
I attended Berkshire College of Agriculture from 1997 - 1999 where I completed my NNEB

My Availability
I WORK TERM TIME ONLY
My core hours are 8am - 5.30pm but am willing to start earlier and finish later should you need it.
I currently do school pick ups from Lowbrook Academy.
I don’t work Fridays

Laura has been looking after my little boy full time since he was 7 months old and she has honestly made my return to work a million times easier as he is so happy going to hers and I know I don't have to worry at all. Laura is warm, friendly and loving towards the children and is really approachable with parents and gives lots of feedback about how his day has been etc. She really ensures that she works with parents to get to know what each child likes and learn all about their routines etc to make sure she can give them a home from home experience. We have been absolutely delighted with Laura and couldn't ask for a better childminder. Would highly recommend!
