My Experience

I'm a fully qualified Early years practitioner (NVQ3) with over 22 years experience, i have worked in nurseries at a management level running a 20 place Day nursery & 30 place pre-school & as a private day nanny for many years, through this I have gained vast experience, I have attended many courses which has furthered my knowledge & I have an excellent understanding of the EYFS and im up to date in first aid, food hygiene, health and safety and child protection. I have an up to date DBS (update service), i hold a full drivers licence, have my own fully insured large car, ofsted registered & able to accept tax free childcare.

I have worked for families & settings that have asked me to come back after leaving for new avenues & have willingly done so, I'm very loyal & proactive.

A previous position was with identical twins who I had from 8 months so have tonnes of experience of sole charge care of multiples.

I'm very confident in weaning, toilet training & sleep training.

A previous position I was a nanny In a share for 2 lovely families with young babies, I worked complex shift patterns for both families often with last minute changes & my flexibility with times was paramount for them, this was achieved daily.

A previous position was with 2 school aged children, the younger child had complex SEN needs and i attended all his meetings, liaised with outside agencies, attended work shops to support his needs and was a support aid in his class at school when needed.

I am also fully trained in makaton & use it regularly with my charges, i have also used it in nursery settings teaching large groups of children & have found it a great tool for communication in very young children.

I previously worked 2 days as a nanny for 3 children, aged 4 years and twins aged 2 & 2 days for a family with 2 children aged 8&3 years.

I was also deputy manager of a day nursery but realised my heart truely laid on being a nanny so i finished my role in the nursery.

I'm currently work 4 days as nanny looking after a 5 year & 3 year old doing wrap around care.
I’m looking for after school from 2.30pm onwards & full time in school holidays.
