Best childminder you could ask for

I first met Barbie back in 2014 when I was looking for a childminder for my eldest. From the first meeting I knew she was the one, so to speak! Fast forward 6 years and she looks after all 3 of my children, all of whom love her. She is so brilliant with all of them, and has definitely helped me raise them into the (usually) well behaved and polite children they are now.

Lovely, friendly Childminder.

We started sending our little girl to Barbie in Sep 2013, as I went back to work. Barbie is a bubbly, friendly and a warm childminder and instantly made us feel at ease. She interacted with our daughter as soon as we met and our daughter was happy playing with Barbies toys within the first 5 minutes of meeting her. It was really hard going back to work after having 3 years off and Barbie made this transition so much easier for me.

They never having a boring day, there always doing something fun and different...either at the park, one of the play groups (my daughter loves the one with the ball pool), the library, super fun days out at Odds farm. Barbie has other childminders over or she goes over there so the children get to play with one another and with different toys. Barbie has a lovely selection of toys and a lovely garden, Her home is lovely and a real home from home enviourment. My daughter loves having nap time at Barbies and story time. Barbie loans out books from the locally library and the children get to take it in turn to bring them home.

They always do arts and crafts especially on special occasions, and my little girl talks about everyone she met in the day and everything she has done.

When ever my daughter is having an "eat you out of house and home moment" Barbie always gives her healthy snacks when she has finsihed what we have packed for her. It's all the small things barbie does that really matters too she sends me lovely updates throughout the day and pictures so I know where my little girl is what she has been up to, which really brightens up my day when im stuck in a meeting.

Unfortunatly our little girl won't be able to stay with Barbie come Sep 2014 as she is off to a school that is not at Barbies current picks ups, and even though this is the case Barbie has been trying to help us find someone, and she has been thinking of alternatives to help us, if we would continue having Barbie as our daughters childminder we would....:) We have been so lucky to have found her.

Updated 4 years on!

I now have 2 daughters who are looked after by Barbara, one is 4 (nearly 5) and the other 10 months old. She has been our childminder for over 4 years now and from day one Charlotte has loved her.

Over the last 4 years Barbara has been extremely accommodating with the days and times of care for our two children. With our work patterns my husband and I dont have normal 9-5 hours and Barbara has been very helpful in working with us on this.
I have also taken maternity leave during this time and again Barbara was very helpful in working around this in order to still look after Charlotte at times. Since Isabella was born I have felt extremely comfortable in leaving her with Barbara from a very early age. And there was no question on where she was going to go when I went back to work. She has also been great in working around Charlottes nursery, and soon to be school runs.

Barbara regularly takes the children to playgroups, parks, music clubs etc. The list is endless! Plus there are many activities she does at home too. I am constantly being brought home paintings, drawings, arts & craft projects, and being told about stories and games that have been played in the house and garden.

Both girls are very happy and I now regard Barbara as much more than just a childminder, she is a true friend. We have been lucky finding Barbara and it helps me, as mum, to relax when i am at work, knowing my little girls are in good hands.

Couldn't ask for a better childminder

I have an 18 month old daughter who is looked after by Barbara. She has been our childminder for over 8 months now and from day one Charlotte loved her! We get a regular chorus of 'Barbie Barbie Barbie' when we get up in a morning and Charlotte loves being with her.

Barbara's own two children are lovely and Charlotte adores them. As soon as she sees Jamie in a morning she follows him round whilst he gets ready for school.

We have a little diary that Barbara writes in every day to let us know what Charlotte has been doing. There are always a selection of activities, toddler groups and classes, trips to the park, feeding the ducks, play dates with other childminders that occur during the week and we regularly have beautiful works of art to put on the fridge!

I have always found Barbara to be very accomodating. With our work patterns my husband and I dont have normal 9-5 hours that Charlotte needs to be minded and Barbara has been very helpful in working with us.
Charlotte is very happy and that makes us very happy. We have been lucky finding Barbara and it helps me, as her mum, to relax when i am at work, knowing my little girl is in good hands.
