About Me
My name is Haley and I am an Ofsted registered childminder, Graded good at my last inspection.
I offer a friendly home environment where the children in my care have lots of fun and learning opportunities in a safe and loving (cuddles given) environment. I have lots of toys and resources and constantly renew and update - depending on the children's needs and likes. I have a very large playroom (37ft) and a safe enclosed garden. I am lucky enough to live close to a large open green, park and the woods which is wonderful for outdoor fun and games.
I have a weekly routine that involves toddler groups, walks in the woods, visits to the park, beach, farm as well as craft, cooking and messy play.
For my after-school children we have fun at the park, woods, doing craft, cooking, art as well as computers, books and games, a piano and various instruments.
I lead by example and teach the children to respect others and have good manners.
I pick up and drop off to Queens Inclosure and Westbrook Little People. Other schools are sometimes possible so please ask.
I have three children of my own although my oldest (28). My son is 23 and I have an 18-year-old daughter at college who loves having all the children around. My eldest daughter and son no longer live at home.
90% of my children have come to me via word of mouth so unfortunately, I do not have reviews on this site. However, I have lots of references from parents, current and from all my previously cared for children that are available upon request.

My Experience
I have lots of experience which started back when I was 18 and I nannied for 2 years in Philadelphia USA. I have also raised my own 3 children, helped with the running of a local pre-school as chairperson and volunteered at the preschool as an assistant. I also ran an afterschool club on a Thursday evening for 7 to 11-year-olds.
In 2008 I was asked to look after a friend's baby when she returned to work and I loved it so much I decided to register as a childminder 9 years ago. I haven't looked back and I love my job. I enjoy getting to know the little characters in my care and planning fun ways to help them learn, play and prepare for the wider world and eventually school. I am continually learning and the children teach me as much as I teach them.
