About Me
hi i am registered with ofsted as a childminder. My last ofsted inspection was graded "GOOD"(2023). i live in trowbridge ( Bradley road, top of Wiltshire drive) with my husband and two girls aged 22 and 25yrs old. i live in a non smoking household and have a dog. i am also a car driver. i offer a fun, safe and friendly environment for your child to be in. there are plenty of toys and equipment for your child to play and learn and to enjoy, whilst feeling safe and secure.
My Experience
i have childminded before when my eldest was a baby so have experienced looking after babies and toddlers and school children. i have completed an introduction to childminding practice course at trowbridge college and so am aware of all the new rules and regulations regarding looking after children, including first aid and safeguarding.i have brought up two girls , my youngest having Erbs Palsy, so am aware of what it is like and the patience needed to look after a child with a disability.
I have now been childminding for 12 years in March since going back into childminding once my children were old enough and regularly visit different toddler groups everyday and softplays and libraries and lots of visits to parks and going for walks. At home there is always lots to do be it arts and crafts, cooking, pretend/role play and lots of free time for your child to express themselves. I also have a small but well equipped safe garden with lots of slides and rockers and sand and water play etc to keep the children entertained whilst getting fresh air and lots of exercise.
My Qualifications

family and community care 2yr course at trowbridge college
peadiatric first aid trained
level 2 food hygiene course
safeguarding course:- awareness of child abuse and neglect
safeguarding course:- foundation for child protection for early years training
on going training in all areas of childcare via Wiltshire Council
risk assessment certificate of health and safety training
Myself and my husband and both daughters are all crb checked
My Availability
i work 7am to 5.00 monday to friday. I am always happy to discuss different hours to suit a families needs though.
i can do term time and all year round childcare.
I accept all 2,3,4 year old funding and work vouchers and tax free childcare

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
I charge £4.50 an hour this includes breakfast, dinner and tea and snacks. all food is fresh and healthy.(sorry but baby food/formula and nappies/wet wipes are not included) the fee also includes all outings such as mother and toddler groups/soft play/day trips etc...

Our daughter started with Keyla when she was only 8 months old. She is now nearly 3.5 years old and still comfortable and as happy as at the beginning, always smiley at drop off or pick up. Very well looked after, fully supported at every stage and through each milestone. She is feeling confident around Keyla and you can see how she is thriving, learning lots of new things, developing her skills and speech! Keyla is very caring and kind, always calm and creates a lovely environment of feeling safe, having fun, learning about all sorts of things and interacting with each other. Nothing si too much trouble and we can always rely on Keyla’s help with extra hours if needed. We will be very sad to leave Keyla’s settings when it comes to end, but we will remain forever grateful for giving our girl the best start in her childhood life and being there for her. I believe that our girl will be ready for school thanks to Keyla’s care. We couldn’t recommend Keyla settings enough.

Michaela has been childminding my daughter before and afterschool for nearly 3 years now. My daughter absolutely loves going and always comes home so happy, she always has something artistic to bring home and has so much to tell me about what she's been up to. Michaela is so accommodating and always helps out where she can if we need extra childcare, we cannot recommend her enough!
