About Me
I have had 4 previous nanny positions with families I have met through Childcare.co.uk, over the past 12 years.
Before childcare, I was in the Military for 8 years in the British Army. The Military prepared me for any situation a child can throw at me!!
I initially registered on here as an interim in 2012 after finishing my service; but quickly realised I enjoyed this role and persuaded it as new career path. I gained my initial Qualifications while working with my first family. I have worked with many different families for full time roles or babysitting.
Since having my own children, I have a deeper appreciation for so many things only a parent will understand.
I have 2 children (both boys, aged 9 & 5, eldest at Amherst and youngest at Riverhead Infant School).
I am no longer nannying as full time employment and I am currently a civil servant.
I know how much of a balance is needed with parenting and I am happy to babysit when I have availability. My children go to their dads every other weekend.
My Experience
I am the eldest of four children. My mother was a childminder at our home all my childhood. We have been a foster Family to various children for the past 20 years.
My 4 previous roles from here have varied in ages, and from part time and full time roles. They have all been sole charge, and from newborn up to 14 years old. I have also worked with twins.
I have also been a registered support carer for Foster families, working with children in the Lewisham area. My role was to assist and enhance their stability in their transition. I dealt with a variety of issues through this challenging yet unbelievably rewarding line of work. Many of the issues I have had to assist with range from bed wetting, confidence issues, behavioural issues, up to supporting children through dealing with high levels of all forms of abuse.
I have worked in a Nursery as a SIPs worker - specialising in Autism and non verbal communication development.
My Qualifications
I have plenty of experience and I have a L3 Diploma in Childcare and L3 in Early years Education
I have also completed Safeguarding training and a specialised development course.
I have various First Aid Qualifications and a DBS Check.
My Availability
Friday and Saturday evenings.

I was recommended Roxanne by a friend a while ago. I have since used her to babysit on many occasions. I would love to use her more often but she gets very booked as she is so fantastic! I know families she has been a Nanny for, and if I needed one, she would be top of my list. Very caring, super enthusiastic and so knowledgable. Extremely creative. Wonderful.
