My Experience

I was a nanny in London for 3 years for 2 boys and 1 girl, one of the boys had aspergers, full time nanny. I also became school childminder for 2 French children, who didn't speak English! We manged all right though! I then became childminder on a nanny share for 2 families in London. Then was working doing school run and homework, 11 + tutoring for 2 very lively boys in four oaks. Have babysat adhoc, including New Years eve and right up to Christmas eve. Have done overnight and full weekends when parents have had to go overseas. Have also been childminder for an air stewardess meaning my hours were all over the place, middle of the night/full care. Altogether I have around 10 years childminding experience, and come from a large family, it's second nature to me!

I have been looking after children since I was 25, and I enjoy variety in life, so even when working elsewhere, I have always added a little childminding into the mix, I love the company of children and can engage well with them on many levels.

Generally easy going with plans, have spent many a winter's day freezing on the sidelines watching school football matches, taking kids to exams, after school activities, music lessons, children's parties, collecting from school trips, even having the children stay with me in an emergency! Have also ended up doing extra work for families, including decorating, cleaning, house and pet sitting, business help, graphic design, family portraits and artwork, making costumes for school plays...not fazed by much!

I have recently qualified as a teaching assistant and have been working as a children's art session leader in recent months. Working with children aged 1 year to 4 years old.

My Qualifications

Lots of great qualifications in art and design, languages and creative subjects, degree in drama and art, various qualifications in practical subjects and I was also a teacher at Sutton college. Recently qualified as a level 2 teaching assistant.

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour

Charge £9/12 per hour depending on amount of children, unsociable hours, and extras such as 11+ Tutoring, plus petrol allowance if lots of driving involved!
