About Me
Hello ... I am a mother of three children aged 21, 15 and 5, who mean the absolute world to me. I understand how terrifying it is to have to Ieave your child/ren with a childcare provider and how important it is to find someone suitable to your child's individual needs. I am very passionate about working with children and have been since I left school many years ago. I am very calm and caring, I have a positive disposition and i'm fun natured.
I have over 20 years experience of working with children of various ages, including children with disabilities. I am currently working in the NHS with young people with mental health issues, before this I was a CQC Registered Manager for a Community support service for children with disabilities. I have been a Nursery Manager and have also previously worked as a hospital Play Leader in London in addition to providing care for a 10 year old girl with Autism as and when I could.
I am currently completing Trauma training which will now be essential in supporting our younger generations.
My Experience
I have over 20 years experience working with children of various ages and abilities. I worked as a one to one support worker for children with special needs in pre-school settings for five years where I gained a lot of experience. I am very passionate about working with children and have been since leaving school.
I have undertaken a wide variety training in order to work within this area including, moving and handling, First Aid, medication & fire safety, safeguarding children (child protection), makaton, positive behaviour management, training in Mental Health, I have a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies and a Level 5 Leadership Diploma in Health and Social Care Children and Young People's Services.
I have a driving licence with no cautions or convictions and full use of a car (with business insurance).
My Qualifications
