About Me

Claire's Childminding in Portsmouth

I offer a fun home based setting for children to thrive and grow in a home from home pet and smoke free environment. A fully qualified teacher with 2 children under 8 I understand how difficult it is to leave your child in the care of someone else.

I love children and watching them develop and blossom, this was my main motivation for becoming a childminder.

I follow EYFS, take the children on outings and cover lots of activities within the home. I have a large range of toys and education games.

I provide all healthy meals and snacks and have a fun safe environment for all children in my care. We visit all local areas including beach and park, aquarium and farms, soft play areas and local play groups.

My childcare training include First Aid, Food hygiene. NCMA registered and Quality Assured.

Fully CRB checked and cleared, with a clean driving licence and public liability insurance to protect all children in my care.

I am currently working towards accepting children with 2 and 3 year old funding.

My Experience

I have worked with children of all ages and enjoy seeing them grow through their learning.

I have worked in all areas of education and understand how important it us to learn through school and play.

I have also worked in creche and Nursery schools looking after children of ages 0 - 4. I the chair on the pre-school committee where my son goes.

My Qualifications

I have gained the Diploma in Home Based childcare and am fully registered as a Childminder and have food hygiene certificate. I have recently been graded Good by ofsted.

I follow EYFS covering learning and play as well as helping them to progress in recognising their achievements.

I have completed qualifications for safeguarding, early years childcare certificates and peadiatric first aid.

I am also a network accredited childminder quality assured and am able accept funded children.

Further training I have taken are EYFS enriching play and learning 0 to 2 years, Early child development e-learning, Nutrition, healthy eating and wellbeing in childcare settings.

My Availability

I have vacancies both full and part time and for before or after school care (I am in copnor area but pick up from langstone school ) and I can accommodate holidays. I am also avalable for occasional use if you work shifts on a weekly basis or need once a month care or on a rota basis.

My Fees

I charge from �3.50 an hour during the day, but can accommodate more than one sibling and adjust prices accordingly. All meals and snacks are included in price.
