My name is Gaynor , I am a mother of three beautiful children aged 12, 8 and 4 who are my life, married to husband Steve of 13-years and we have a very loving home,
I am an Ofsted registered child minder and have been since 2008, I am fully first aid trained and myself and my husband are advanced CRB checks. I am able to care for children from birth.
We have a very safe and loving home with a very large secure garden and a dedicated toy room which the children love; our home is a non-smoking one. Here we not only enjoy playing and fun time but I work very close with the EYFS framework to prepare your children for Nursery School with many resources available,
Our typical day consists of outings to messy play, busy bodies & fun-shack & so on, when at home we have a very large enclosed garden and secure decking area with lots of outdoor equipment & playhouses to keep the children very happy & busy.
I do a development file on each child in my care with which is linked to the EYFS.
I keep in touch with parents throughout the day with photo messages & texts to put your mind at ease & let you know what your little one is getting up to ,as I am very aware of how difficult it is having to leave them having done it myself.
I encourage healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle.
I have 15-years’ experience in taking care of young children and babies, I have also managed my own toddler groups.
I have plenty of experience with both baby’s & children having worked in nursery’s, working with new-born baby’s through to school age. I have brought a lot of which I learned from working in nurseries and running a toddler group in to my childcare setting.
I have a NVQ level 3 diploma in childcare
I have completed a managing behaviour course ran by Sunderland Council and have a valid First Aid Certificate, Safeguarding in Children and I am a qualified crèche worker.
I am available Monday to Friday 7:30am to 6pm but will always try to be flexible to parent’s needs.
I have a 7-seater vehicle and do school runs to East Herrington Primary, and other Schools, where permitting.
£3.50 per hour, including healthy snacks

Gaynor has been looking after my 2 boys (aged 4 & 2) since September last year and it’s the best decision I have ever made. From the 1st meeting Gaynor and her family have made us feel very welcome.
It is a relief to know the boys are being well cared for whilst I am at work in a loving, playful yet educational environment. Their days are jam packed with activities ranging from trips to the park to messy play. I get regular updates and pictures throughout the day. When home time comes they don’t want to leave.

I used Gaynor for nearly a year to take care of my little one prior to starting nursery and was so happy I did.
Gaynor is a wonderful Child-minder who was always very flexible to our needs and took great care of my daughter keeping me up-to date throughout the day with text messages. I always had a full run-down of the day when I collected her.
My Daughter was always excited when we collected her to tell us about her day, which often involved painting, visits to play-groups. In the summer she also spent a lot of time outdoors in Gaynor’s wonderful garden or trips to the local parks.
Gaynor also completed a development file which helped show how well she cared for our daughter and how she progressed.
If you choose Gaynor as your child-minder you will be so pleased you did, just like I was.

We choose Gaynor to care for our then 6 month old son after meeting with a number of minders. We have never regretted this decision.
Gaynor genuinely loves children and puts the child’s enjoyment and development at the centre of everything that she does. They go on regular trips out which I know that our son loves. During these trips our son is interacting with lots of other children which is definitely improving his social skills. The children also get involved in many activities that improve their coordination and aid their development. We also love receiving the wonderful pictures that he has created with Gaynor. He is developing into a sociable and happy child and this is in no small part down to the care that Gaynor has given him.
We were new to the area and understandably nervous about leaving our little boy with someone we didn’t really know yet – Gaynor appreciated this and went out of her way to reassure us that our son was well and happy. She kept in touch throughout the day to let me know what they were up to and how he was getting on. I appreciated this greatly, Gaynor understands the difficulties parents face and will endeavour to make it as painless as possible for you.
We are leaving the area again to return to our hometown and it is with genuine regret and sadness that our child will not be being cared for by Gaynor. She has been a wonderful influence on our son and it has been a pleasure to deal with her. I only wish she could come with us!
