About Me
I founded my company Mind Their Learning in 2011. The educational approach that I apply is rooted not only in the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum but also in more alternative concepts such as Forest Schools, Steiner Schools and Montessori Schools.
I am Ofsted-registered, have a PGCE in Primary Education, a Diploma in Child Development Psychology, a Diploma in Home-based childcare, an Honours Degree in European Business Sciences and a Diploma in Advanced Nutrition. I used to run my own complimentary therapies clinic before the birth of my child sparked interest in working in the field of education.
Over the last five years I have gained experience in teaching through working in schools as learning support assistant, maths and literacy sets teacher, supply teacher (reception to year 6, SEN units) and in the context of my very successful private one-to-one tuition business. I have also worked as a part-time nanny and childminder during the last six years.
I am fully CRB checked, hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate, have a full, clean driver’s licence and have completed training courses in ‘Safeguarding Children’, ‘Positive Touch’, ‘Promoting Positive Behaviour’, ‘One-to-One Tuition’, ‘Fun with Phonics’, ‘Progression in Maths’, ‘Supporting children with Special Educational needs’, 'Supporting children's Creativity', 'Getting it right for Boys', 'Makaton' and am fully updated regarding the new Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
PRIVATE TUITION FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN AVAILABLE AT 35% DISCOUNT DURING THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS
I am offering One-to-One Tuition for children aged 5-11 at a reduced rate during the summer holidays. A block booking of six sessions to be carried out during the summer holidays is available at a reduced rate of £100 for six sessions (discount of 35%, which works out to about £16 a session as opposed to the usual £25 per hour). Bookings and payments need to be made by 21 June in order to ensure availability. The earlier you book the more likely you will be able to book sessions on days and at times that suit your own timetable best. Sessions take place at my house in Chessington and if 1-hour drop-offs are inconvenient there is the opportunity to drop off your child 1-2 hours extra at the cost of an additional £5 per hour during which time educational play activities will be carried out. Lots of resources (as well as a play-mate aged 7) are available.

Excellent childcare provider
Mandy is a fantastic childminder who is genuine and provides an excellent level of care and stimulation for my two(very energetic!) children. I recommend her without reservation.

Brilliant childcare
We’ve been with Mandy since my daughter was 12 month and I would recommend her to anyone. Mandy has become part of our family and telling my daughter that we going to Mandy means she will happy get dressed with no further questions. Mandy provides excellent care and has great educational programme planed for a month in advance. With my second child I would defiantly want to come back to Mandy.
