About Me
Hello!
My name is Mia , originally I am from Finland but have lived here in England now 15 years! My approach for childminding is very Scandinavian; loads of outdoor play, exploring in the forest, counting pine cones, jumping in the puddles, having fun!
We also read loads of books, visit libraries and playgroups and explore our local area.
We live in a child friendly house which is very close to Jesse Gray and that’s why I am able to offer pick ups and drops off from there. This has worked really well with the families with children from different age groups. Younger children love having older ones around and other way around!
We have a lovely dog, called Oakley, who we got during lockdowns and he has grown up children around him. He has helped children overcome with their fears with dogs and has been very positive addition for my setting.

My Experience
I thoroughly enjoy parenting our daughter who is now 16y and enjoyed looking after my friends children ( boys 3y, 5y and 6y) and have experienced at first hand the importance of planning enjoyable activities to include all ages, gender and ability.

Ofsted Registered, graded GOOD by Ofsted May 2013 and October 2016 and 2022
Introduction to Childminding Practice (ICP) which included guidence for the Early Years Foundation Stage & other modules such as; Planning to Play, Promoting Positive Behaviour & Partnership with Parents etc
