Maternity Nurse in London: Camden
My Summary
Gentle, Highly Experienced Maternity Nurse Offering Night Support & 24-Hour International Care
About Me
With 21 years of experience, my approach to newborn care centers on gentle, quiet observation.
I focus deeply on the small things like learning your baby’s unique cues, understanding their natural rhythms, and bringing a sense of steady calm into your home.
I work primarily with families across London and the UK who require high-level, dedicated support during those crucial early months.
Whether you need gentle overnight care so you can rest, or continuous 24-hour support, my practice is entirely bespoke to your family's rhythm.
How We Can Work Together:
* Dedicated Night Support: Gentle, overnight care designed to make your nights lighter and establish healthy, natural sleep-feed patterns.
* Tailored 24-Hour Care: Available for continuous blocks of care or rotas depending on your needs. For solo 24-hour care, I generally work in manageable blocks of days, but I am entirely open to discussing longer-term rota positions up to 6 months.
* Travel Companion: I am fully available and happy to accompany UK families on international travel, whether it is a short trip to Europe or long-haul travel to California and beyond.
Because I split my practice and family time between the UK and Central Europe, I tend to be booked well in advance. However, I remain highly flexible.
If you feel my approach resonates with your family but you are working within a specific budget, please reach out.
I am always happy to discuss approachable, creative ways we can structure my hours or blocks of days to give you the exact support you need.
My Experience
With over two decades of practice as a UK trained postnatal carer and newborn care specialist, my journey is rooted in a deep, lifelong commitment to supporting families during their most vulnerable moments.
I specialize in guiding parents through the delicate early months, focusing entirely on the unique, subtle cues of your newborn to cultivate peaceful sleep and feeding habits.
Rather than forcing strict, mechanical schedules, my work centers on observing the quiet, natural rhythms of your baby to gently bring stability and confidence back into your home.
Every family has a completely unique dynamic, and my experience allows me to step into your space with absolute discretion, warmth, and steady reassurance. As new parents with no experience of babies on either side of our family, we felt completely clueless when we brought our little girl, Ava, home from the hospital. We looked into hiring a maternity nurse to help us and thankfully came across Kornelia and all her (very well deserved!) glowing reviews and references.
Kornelia’s extensive knowledge and experience of working with newborns, as well as her warm and friendly nature, shone through on our first phone call and at the interview stage. We arranged to have a full day consultation with her at our home and it was by far the best money we've spent on our baby!
Kornelia helped us to set up day and night time routines for feeding and sleeping, answered all our questions and shared practical tips and advice on caring for a newborn from winding techniques to how to sterilise bottles. Because she spent the day with us and got to interact with Ava throughout the day, her advice was really personalised.
The best thing about working with Kornelia is that she has given us the tips, tools and confidence to look after our baby ourselves. And we can’t recommend her highly enough to other parents!

Kornelia (Nella) came to help with my second baby when she was 2 1/2 weeks old. We worked out together a routine that would fit into my busy and (rather hectic!) life and she managed to get my little girl into that feeding and sleeping schedule very quickly. It was so reassuring and helpful to have Nella there and she has an extremely calm, relaxed and professional manner. Even as a second time mum, I definitely learnt little tips and hints from her. She made the early days with my newborn so much more enjoyable and it also meant I could spend quality time with my toddler, which was a lifesaver. After a few weeks with Nella I was able to get a full night's sleep as I expressed and Nella would feed for me - a godsend for any exhausted mum! I cannot recommend Nella more highly, my only regret is that I didn't book her for longer. We all miss her lots. I keep crossing my fingers that she will come back soon....

Than you Jo.
It was a pleasure working with you and your family.
Love Nella xxxxx
I can highly recommend Kornelia as a great maternity nurse. She helped us out with our newborn premature twins (34wks old) for 2 weeks in May 2013. She was very professional, constantly advised us when i bombarded her with questions, worked with the routine we wanted, and was very helpful writing all the feeds etc in the baby diary. Thanks Kornelia ! x
