About Me

Hi my name is Pauline Keegan, I am a registered childminder with SCSWIS (originally the Care Commission) and I am also a member of the SCMA. I live in Loanhead and have 2 boys aged 8 and 3. We are always out and about, doing various activities, like walking, going on adventures (weather permitting of course), and most weeks myself and my youngest attend our local baby toddler group, in which he loves.

My Experience

As every parent knows what is best for their child, no-one can look after your child better than you. But if you are a first or even second time parent, the task can seem overwhelming. Especially when you are trying to perfect a balance as a parent and do a full or part time job. This I know from experience. So I certainly know the importance of having total peace of mind when your child is left in the care of someone else.

As a Registered Childminder that is my main aim, to give parents total peace of mind. We all need to know that our children are safe, happy and being provided with healthy balanced meals. What we also need to know is that their carers are dependable people who are always there, always consistent and always responsive to their needs. Of course, parents are prefered but like so many families nowadays, this is just not possible.

Having 2 children myself, and watching them develop, emotionally, physically, intellectually and socially it has been the most rewarding job I have ever done, and now I would love to share my experiences and help assist parents on the development of their children welcoming them into a warm, homely and safe environment.

My Qualifications

I am Registered with the Social Care Social Work Improvement Scotland for a maximum of six children (including my own 2 children).

Disclosure Scotland checks have all been carried out.

I have attended training courses provided by the SCMA, and which are still ongoing.

I have completed Paediatric First Aid Course

HACCP - Food Hygiene
