About Me

Hello I’m Steph,
Ofsted registered childminder rate GOOD in all areas with over 20 years experience working with young children.

I have my own 2 boys

I graduated from university in 2012. i studied early childhood studies (with practitioner options)

I have purposely built an extension on the side of my home for the children to play and learn in. With an added log cabin for extra room. This has everything it needs to meet the children's need for their learning and development, a good space for inside and a garden just for the children.

I attend many social groups with the children such as play groups, soft play centres, libraries, singing classes, local parks, museums, farms, zoos, nature walks, exploring our community

My aim is to provide a well stimulated setting for the children to learn and develop in, it's very safe and secure with a lovely garden for the children to play and have lots of fun. I provide my setting following the correct early years framework and ensuring all children are learning and developing:
I have 4 assistants who work along side me with the correct qualifications all level 3 and level 2 trained. safeguarding and first aid trained also.
We stick within the correct ration of 1:4 under 5 year olds.

A typical week is:
Monday - Jojos music class attends my setting - activities planned for the afternoon
Tuesday - soft play/play group/park/walk - activities planned for the afternoon
Wednesday - play group or park - activities planned for the afternoon
Thursday - nature walk, park, soft play, activities planned for the afternoon


Full UK driving licence held for 15 years
(own a mini bus to transport children too and from different places )

I have been working as a childminder since April 2014. i have since registered as a childcare on domestic premises in 2019. (this gives me the flexibility to run as a small nursery setting giving the best of both worlds of a childminder and a nursery)
