About Me
Hi Im Tara,I live in Paddock Wood with my husband and our 3 children.
I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I have been registered since 2013. I have previous childcare experience varying from pre school assistant to deputy manager of a nursery. I have also been a sole charge nanny. I have over 20 years experience.
We live near in a quiet road near the primary school, and within walking distance to the town, local groups and both playgrounds. This provides many exciting trips out!
My house is a fair sized 3 bed,and minded children will have access to all of downstairs(except the garage),and one bedroom upstairs (for sleeps/quiet times).Whilst indoors children will have access to a range of toys,including puzzles,card games,imaginative play toys,dressing up etc. Other activities include play dough,arts and crafts,cooking etc.Also at my setting we have a fair sized garden, and I can provide a good range of outdoor toys including ride ons, gardening tools and space hoppers!I also attend many different playgroups,childminding networks or activity groups (such as music or pre-school Bounce). I know that finding the right childcare is a big challenge,but I hope I am the right childminder for you and that my setting becomes 'home from home' for both you and your child/ren.
I am paediatric first aid trained,CRB checked and hold a full driving license. I am registered with PACEY (used to be NCMA)
I am based in Paddock Wood. I offer my services on 4 days of the week,My hours are 7.30am - 6.15pm. However I am willing to be flexible,on days and/or times if discussed.
My fees are £6.00 per hour.Snacks,drinks,wipes are included in the hourly rate.Please provide nappies if your child uses them,and Formula/bottled breastmilk if your child is not weaned. I no longer provide meals.

My Experience
NVQ 3 Early years and education.
15 years in childcare - including pre-school,nursery and sole charge nanny.
Duties have included entertaining children,development through play,preparing meals,housework,school runs as well as runs to after school activities and clubs.Arranging playdates,going to playgroups and various clubs.Washing laundry and ironing,occasional food shops.
I also have a knowledge of the paperwork side of childcare as I worked as deputy manager at a nursery,as well as having to do individual learning plans at pre-school.
I have had babysitting experience from the age of 15.I have a couple of regular families i babysit for,the youngest being 20mths and the oldest 15years. I am happy to do bedtime routines if it is required.
My Qualifications
NVQ3 Early years and education
10 Gcses all C or above
2 A levels
Pass certificate in IT
Ofsted registration certificate.(as a childminder).
Member of PACEY
Clean driving licence
I have been previously Ofsted registered as a nanny.

My Availability
I offer my services on any of the 5 days a week,but work 4,currently it's Tues to Friday,with a start time of 7.30am and finish of 5.30pm ,from september this can change to Mon,Tues,Wed,Thurs .I can be flexible on days and times,after discussion.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
£6.00 per hour per child. Snacks,Drinks,wipes will be included in the hourly rate. Any outings/activities will be charged for accordingly,but you will have notification of this.
For babysitting £10 per hour,£12 per hour after midnight.

I travelled for work to the area, my daughter settled well and took part in loads of activities. Tara was brilliant and very flexible, fantastic from start to finish, would definitely recommend.

Tara has looked after my eldest son for nearly 2 1/2 years and my youngest for 1 1/2 years. They have both been happy in her care and I certainly feel they are safe and well looked after. She takes them to groups, goes on rock hunting walks, local parks, Bewl water etc and then during school holidays goes further afield on days out to National Trust properties, the beach etc. She has been very flexible for us, accommodating a shift pattern and stretch funding which is no easy task.
