About Me
I am an active mother to 2 adult children, 2 adult step children & grandmother to 2 little boys!! I enjoy being outside in the garden, walking and am happy to have a go at playing football or cricket. I am happy to share books and creative activities with the children, visit the library & parks and take the children to their activities. I am kind, caring and fun loving, as well as being well organised, efficient and having good time management skills. I will attend to the children’s laundry, change their beds & if time allows, do the ironing.
I am happy to work in a multi generational household supporting an older person whilst the children are at school.
My Experience
30+ years with children at home and in a school setting. I have looked after a premature baby and a child with learning and physical difficulties. I have worked in a preschool, initiailly as an assistant progressing to deputy supervisor before moving to a local primary school as a teaching assistant and dinner lady/MSA, then progressing to nursery nurse, unqualified teacher and wrap-around care supervisor. I have also worked as a nanny/ housekeeper with dog walking & errand running duties as well, and loved this role too.
My Qualifications
Foundation Degree in Early Years studies (level 5)
Level 3 Diploma in Child Development & Early Childhood Education
Paediatric 1st aid (2021-2024)
Various other 1 day courses taken whilst at the primary school
I am OFSTED registered and inspected.
My Availability
I am looking for a new role or shared role with my current job from September 2nd 2024 as my current youngest child I look after will be starting school full time & my hours are to be reduced by half to after school only. This is not financially viable for me.
I will be available Monday to Thursday. Ideally looking for 25-30 hours per week for a new role or 12-15 hrs if a shared role (mornings available).
Not available on Friday as I look after my 2 grandsons all day.
Babysitting available saturday - day or evening. No babysitting on Sunday.
