About Me
My name is Kelly and I'm an Ofsted registered childminder in central Chichester and a member of the NCMA
I work alongside my mum Pat who is also Ofsted registered.
We offer a safe and secure homely environment with plenty of space for children's activities.
We have a good sized garden, located near to a large park area with playground. We are just a 10 minute walk from the centre of town so will provide regular trips to the parks, local shops and the library as well as trips further afield.
The children have access to toys suitable for all ages and ability and an endless list of activities.
I am happy to do school drop-offs and pick-ups and help the children with any homework they may have.
My Experience
Although I have no children of my own, I have been caring for my nephew and 2 nieces, providing day care, dropping them off and collecting them from pre-school and school . The children are aged 3, 7 and 9 and I have been looking after them since they were about 6 months old so I have experience caring for babies, toddlers and school age children. I have also cared for friend’s and family’s children at times, including taking them to and from school.
As 2 out of 3 of the children are now at school and the youngest is part time at pre-school I have decided that I would like a career in childcare offering parents a service that enables their child to be in a home environment, experiencing activities that will aide their development, engage their interests and provide play spaces where children can choose their own activities.
My mum has 30 years experience in childcare. She has worked and managed nurseries, preschools and a creche. She has 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren.
I have recently completed the relevant qualifications needed to become a childminder and I have realised that the entertainment and activities that I have provided for my nephew, nieces and other children has helped them learn through play. I understand that parents want to know that their child is being well cared for and is happy whilst in childcare and I believe that I can offer that home-from-home care.
In December 2010 I had my first Ofsted inspection and received a 'Good' grade.

Fantastic
Kelly has been my daughters childminder for coming up 5 months and she has been absoloutely amazing. My daughter has just turned 2 and she is extremly advanced for her age and as much as I would love to take full credit for this, I have to be honest and say that I owe a lot of this to Kelly. She is just what ever mother needs, she has a way of helping my little one learn whilst playing, she is really flexible and easy to get a long with. I feel completely comfortable and confident in Kelly's abillitys. I highly reccomend.
