About Me

My name is Lisa Webber, I am married and live with my husband and children in Colne. As a parent I have also had to wade through the minefield of locating good quality, reliable childcare. It is because of this that I have chosen to become a registered childminder myself, so that I can provide 'peace of mind', to other parents, and a safe, caring and secure environment for their children to play, learn and develope.
I provide a large range of activities and toys,to suit the various ages and stages of the children. I also take the children to play groups, play centres, the park and to the library.
I make home made meals and snacks and provide fruit, milk, milk shakes, cordial and fruit juice during the day.
I am a registered with ofsted, and a member of ncmc. I am also a member of the local chilldminding network.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since 2006.
Before I chose to pursue a career as a registered childminder, I worked for the council as a resource centre support worker, assisting adults with acquired disabilities and sensory impairment to maintain their independence and where appropriate to help them back into employment.
Prior to that I worked in a hostel for adults with profound learning and physical disabilities.
During my time in these posts I undertook a number of training courses to develope my skills and understanding of the difficulties that these people faced every day of their lives, and how I could best use my skills to support them without undermining their independance. Encouraging them to try new things and develope as an individual, to realise their full potential and make the most of what they have to offer.A value and sence of self worth we hope all our children can achieve.
My Qualifications
Pre geristration workshops;- a unique child, positive relationships,
Enabling environments, Learning and development, Safeguarding children.
Peadiatric First aid, Essential Food Hygiene, CAF level 1,
N.V.Q.3 Promoting Independence
city & guilds family and community care.
ncfe Certificate in sessional creche work,
G.C.S.E. childcare and development.
Deaf/ blind awareness,taster sign langauge course, Disability awareness, moving and handling of people,
Racial awareness and cultural diversity training
, Understanding and responding to aggression,
Health and safety and risk assessment training.
Certificate in adult literacy, Certificate in adult numeracy.
I am currently studying level 3 diploma in the children and young peoples workforce.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday, 48 weeks a year, between the hours of 7.30 and 6 p.m although I can be flexable if needed. I am available to work Bank holidays or weekends with prior negotiation only.
Also before and after school cover and holiday club for children at Lord street school when places are available.
i accept childcare vouchers and I am also working towards becoming accredited so that I can accept the government vouchers for 15 free hours childcare for 3-5 yr olds.

My Fees
My highest fee Monday to friday is £3.75 an hour, but rates do vary depending on hours / times needed so please contact me for more details.

Fantastic childminder
I was a bit nervous before returning to work as I had to leave my 8 month old baby,but after meeting Lisa I felt much more confident and happy. I have noticed such a change in my daughter since she has been going to Lisa, she has become more independent,confident and sociable. Lisa involves the children in fun and educational activities and writes these in a book daily so I am able to see what they have done during the day. My baby quickly developed a strong relationship with Lisa and her family who have all been very warm and welcoming. I feel so lucky to have found such an excellent childminder who I know my daughter is happy staying with whilst I am at work.
