About Me
Qualified nanny providing Evening Babysitting, Daytime care (weekends, Mon).
I am a qualified nanny, currently caring for a pre-school and school aged child in Surrey. I am a Manny (that is a male nanny) and have been working in childcare for almost 20 years. In addition to babysitting, I help parents by offering childcare advice, I can often be found posting on parenting websites like Mumsnet, search for my username. I am a qualified nursery nurse and maternity nanny... thus I specialise in caring for babies and toddlers, though I do also care for older children.
My Experience
I qualified as a nursery nurse in 1998, though have been involved in childcare since the late 80's. My experience of caring for children has included working in Pre-School, Nursery and a Crèche, plus school holiday clubs, Beavers and Cub Scouts. I have been babysitting for nearly 20 years and have cared for well over 100 children who have ranged in age from 3-days old to 12 years old. I have many references from families. I have experience of caring for Twins and children with special needs.

My Qualifications
CACHE Diploma in Nursery Nursing (NNEB)
Maternity Practitioner Award - specialist training in the care of newborn babies.
Early Years First Aid.
I have an Enhanced CRB check (police check)
As a nanny I am Ofsted Registered.
My Availability
My availability varies week to week depending on which families I am already booked to babysit. If you have access to Profile Plus, you will find a link to my website which has a Babysitting Calendar on it showing my current availability.
Before babysitting for the first time, I will arrange to visit you and your child/children. This visit is free and enables you to look through my portfolio of childcare references, qualification and training certificates. I also feel such a visit is necessary as if I were a young child and I was asleep when my parents went out, I would not like to wake up to find a stranger in my home. By visiting your family prior to babysitting, your child/children get to know me a little, so they will recognise me at a future date.
My Fees
Contact me to discuss your childcare requirements. Evening Babysitting costs £8 per hour - this is a per-family rate, not per child. There is no charge for travel to/from your home. Daytime care costs £10 per hour.
