About Me
I am a single parent of two wonderful children, my son Joshua age 14 and my daughter Ebony age 6. I am a very hands on mother and learn something new about my children everyday. Collectively we live in a relaxed but disciplined household, and aim to make minded children feel part of our warm little family. I welcome all children and recognize that they need time to settle into a new environment. I will consult with the parents or carers to accomodate their needs. My admissions is very fair, equal and responsive to the individual child and their parents or carers. No child is excluded or disadvantaged due to ethnic origin, beliefs,language, background, gender or ability.
My Experience
I have raised two children as a single parent and friend to both my children. Everyday as a parent is a learning experience for me. I will continue being a fulltime mother to both my children throughout their school careers meeting their needs to the best of my ability.
I have 14 years childcare experience.
My Qualifications
I am registered with the Scottish Childminding Association, who support Childminders 100%. I have a certificate awarded by the Scottish Childminding Association for attending training on Childminding with Proffessional Approach, Meeting the Needs of Children, Environment, Raising Awareness of Child Protection and First Aid and Partnerships with Parents. Certificate of hygiene from Environmental health Services.
Qualified in emergency Child care First Aid, Certificate in Youth Sport Trust for the Top Tots/Top Start and Start to Play, and Certificate in continuing professional development. keeping children safe and healty.
Credits also awarded by the Open University for Health and Social Welfare.
Certificate for Child Protection keeping children Safe and Secure.

My Fees
Fees are £3.50 per hour per child. Mon-Fri 7am-6pm.
After 6pm fees are £7 per child per hour. These prices include milk, diluteing fruit juice, and a range of healthy snacks.

Safe and positive
My son, who was only 6 months old when he first met Niki, immediately made a connection with her which I believe was primarily down to her warm, sincere and caring personality. He very quickly settled and he enjoys the ‘home for home’ child care which Niki provides.
She has an encouraging yet no-nonsense approach with her children who seem to thrive and I have found my son’s development and wellbeing benefits greatly from this. She has a flexible approach and reliably provides feedback about my son’s daily routine.
I am reassured that my son is looked after in a safe and positive environment and enjoys an active and busy day when he is with his childminder.
