About Me
I'm rob I run Rogues and Rascals Child minding in Ruabon were I live with my wife and daughter, our grown up son lives in the next village with our two grandsons. We have plenty of room for children to run, walk, crawl and toddle with two downstairs rooms and an upstairs room if the children need peace. Our garden is huge, people say it must be lovely, they don't have to mow it !!!
The children leave our setting shattered, happy and looking forward to coming back.
My Experience
I started quite by accident, as a favour for my wifes boss after maternity leave, now well over 10 years later i'm fully registered and looked after goodness knows how many children later here we still are going strong. I have looked after new born right through to teenagers. Prior to starting as a childminder I ran youth football teams for over 10 years and also ran our local school football teams boys and girls for 5 years, so as you can see I have all round experience with all ages.
Since becoming registered I have attended many courses centred around downs syndrome, autism, a.d.h.d and epilepsy so I have an understanding of these special needs, if your child needs extra care call me, I would undertake extra training where necessary to help me give the best care possible for your child
Ive been childminder of the year 2015, runner up on two other occasions, since doing the job I’ve co written two help books, and a children’s story book.
My Qualifications
diploma in social science (open university)
paediatric first aid certificate
cypop 5 (childminding qualification)
food hygiene level 2
autism awareness
downs syndrome
welsh in early years
safeguarding children
Just completed a 10 week welsh course
spotting the early stages of epilepsy
also a range of courses involved in the well being of children helping them to learn and play
