Ofsted New Common Inspection Framework from September 2015

There are big changes coming to the way Ofsted inspect all early years providers including childminders from September 2015! All Ofsted inspectors (including Tribal and Prospect inspectors) are being re-trained for the new Common Inspection Framework … it will be a framework for all providers with 4 new inspection judgements.

To help you prepare for the new Common Inspection Framework, Childcare.co.uk have commissioned a free information guide to give you an overview of the new inspection judgements and what they will mean in practice.

Providers should be reassured that the changes are mostly to the wording Ofsted are using in the new inspection framework – in practice we are all able to demonstrate the quality of our teaching and how well we support children so they are prepared for school.

There will be updates over the coming months as Ofsted release further information and Ofsted will be releasing a guidance handbook in the summer to help providers prepare for September.

If independent childminders work together and support each other we will all be ready to implement the changes in September.
