About Me
I am a Qualified Nursery Nurse and an Ofsted registered childminder with over 15 years experience childminding and over 22 years experience within the childcare sector. I have worked as a nanny, hearing screener for newborn babies and I have managed a local Nursery working my way up and through the nursery.
I have 3 children aged 14 years and 10 years and 6 years. we live in 3 bedroom house with a separate playroom and garden suitable for all ages and stages of development. We also have dogs which the children adore and they adore them. The dogs provide an extra learning experience for the children.
I currently work with childminding assistants.
On a daily basis we take the children out making the most of the local amenities, parks, library, duck pond, toddler groups, farms and we often meet for play dates with other childminders.
My Experience
I qualified as a Nursery Nurse in 1997 and worked as a nanny for over 4 years. I worked with children from newborn up until the age of 7 years, whilst nannying I helped at the local rainbows so also got experience this way.
Since nanying I have managed a 22 place day nursery from ages 2 years to 5 years and I have also worked as a newborn hearing screener around the local hospitals.
I started childminding in 2006 and have worked with children from newborn up to teenagers.
I regularly attend training courses to update my knowledge and we have just received a good from our recent ofsted inspection which we are thrilled about.

Packed lunch required for lunch time but a full evening meal is offered of your child stays until 6pm

My daughter has been with Genna for about a month now, and is totally blossoming in her care! After a shaky couple of weeks due to her separation anxiety, she absolutely loves going. Genna is always doing new things with her, I get a daily diary of things they've done. she's also been amazing in accommodating my job changes, and has been very flexible with the hours. we're very lucky to have her.
