My Summary

My Experience

Bringing up 4 children of my own I have a wealth of experience with all that that entails. I have been a registered childminder since June 2000. I have taken care of many children over the years ranging from 2 weeks old to 13 years from different backgrounds to me, with differing abilities and needs.

I follow the Early years foundation stage (EYFS) and OFSTED guidelines to achieve a well balanced, safe and happy environment for children to play, grow and develop in. Activities and visits are planned with the children in mind to encourage each child's development, interests and enjoyment while meeting their individual needs on the days they attend.

September 2015 OFSTED graded me good in all areas saying "The childminder demonstrates skills when extending children's play ideas, which promotes children's learning effectively. Effective observation and monitoring of children's learning ensure they make good progress in preparation for their move to school".
"The childminder has secure relationships with children. They seek her out for comfort and support. They enjoy interacting with her during their play".
"The childminder promotes children's independence and self-help skills during routine times of the day. For example, children help to prepare food and put on their own shoes before going outside. This develops children's skills for the future".
"The childminder has good relationships with parents. She shares information about her provision, practice, and their children's development, which ensures they are part of their children's learning".

My Qualifications

Paediatric first aid trained
NNEB - Childcare course covered working in all pre-school settings, nanny in someone's home, playworker in a children's hospital, nursery nurse in a reception class and assistant to class teachers in a school for children with additional needs.
Diploma in home-based childcare.
I have attended many training courses/sessions/webinars as well as conferences throughout my childminding career covering child protection, fire safety, health & safety, risk assessments, food safety, childrens behaviour, additional needs, speech & language, inclusive childminder, celebrations, several musical based, early arts, Mark making, numeracy & problem solving, exploration and many more.

My usual hours are between 08:00 - 18:00 (enhanced hourly rate (£6.50) for a start before 08:00 or finish after 18:00)

Daytime babysitting

Evening babysitting

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
• Childminding from £4.75 per hour

School holidays only
£4.75 per hour (includes snacks)

£6.50 per hour (before 08:00 and after 18:00)

Ad-Hoc - £5.50 per hour (Between 08:00 - 18:00)
- £6.50 per hour (Before 08:00 and after 18:00)

Meals can be provided for an additional charge:

Lunch £2.50 per lunch

Dinner (Served between 17:30 - 17:45) £3.00 per dinner

Babysitting £10.00 per hour
