Hello my name is Denise and I have been a registered childminder for 14 years and have worked in the childcare sector before that so I have lots of experience in a nursery environment and a home setting.
I have a National Progression Award in Playwork and Childcare at SCQF Level 5
I also have a SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 7 and this was completed on the 6th April 2020
I stay in the area around The Swannie Ponds and Baxter Park which is a great location for parks, Schools and Nursery's.
I pick up and drop off at Glebelands Primary School, Glebelands Nursery, Wallacetown Nursery and Craigiebarns Nursery.
I offer a caring, professional and safe environment where children learn, socialize and have great fun.
My Experience
I have worked in the childcare sector and have worked with a wide range of children from different backgrounds and cultures and love making a positive impact on their lives.
I have my own experience of bringing up my own children, family and friend`s children and have helped out at playgroups, nurseries and schools.
I am a Registered Childminder with the SCSWIS (Care Inspectorate) and The Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) I have been fully Disclosure checked.
I have Public Liability Insurance and Business insurance on my car.
All these documents can be seen on your first visit and any other time you wish to see them.
I have achieved Grade 5`s in my inspection gradings from the SCSWIS (Care Inspectorate Scotland )
My Qualifications

Denise is a fantastic child minder, she minded my daughter from the age of one until she was 4. Denise has always been reliable, caring and treated Lucy like she was one of her own. On our first visit I could clearly see the areas where my daughter would be playing and also how clean and varied the toys she had on offer.
Denise provided various certificates she has earned in early learning and first aid also which I found reassuring as a first time mum leaving my baby. I know she has since gained further qualifications through the SQA which is brilliant for her and well deserved.
Lucy always came home happy with stories about what she had been doing that day and what Snowy and Buddy had been up to.
I would strongly recommend Denise if you are looking to leave your child in a happy and safe environment.

I would without any hesitation or reservations, whole heartedly recommend Denise as a childminder. Her standards of care go over and above the normal and my daughter cannot wait to go to Denise`s and is bursting with stories when she returns. The look of joy on her face is priceless and the stories continue until bedtime, and start again in the morning!
Denise provides a safe, secure and highly educational environment for the children and is highly professional . Denise`s own children play an active part in the whole childcare experience, and my daughter was made welcome from the very first moment she arrived on the doorstep.
I would highly recommend Denise to care for your children and is a fantastic caring childminder.
