My Experience

I have worked as 'Nanny' for the past 27 years.

I have had the pleasure of working with many families (live in and live out) during my career including:-
Single parent families.
Multiple twin families.
Only child families.
Blended families.
Mothers/Fathers help roles.
Home based working families.
Sole charge roles.
Shared charge roles.

I have worked full time and part time.
I have nanny shared.
I have been self employed.
I am currently employed.

I am an easy going flexible Nanny who has loved each and every role I have had the pleasure of undertaking.
I strive to be a happy relaxed person to be around who fits seamlessly into family homes while undertaking my role in a professional, understated manner.

I have extensive childcare experience from newborn babies right up to children starting secondary school.
Tasks I have undertaken include but are not limited to:-
Creating and Implementing sleep routines.
Attending midwife/medical appointments.
Supporting parents with advice and assurance.
Weaning and implementing positive eating habits.
Filling my days with age appropriate activities.
Preparing healthy meals for children when required.
Undertaking household duties as and when needed.
Attending vets appointments and pet caring while on duty.
Creating and implementing daily routines to build confidence and reassurance preparing little ones for school.
Assisting and supervising homework in an enthusiastic and positive manner.

I have undertaken many varied tasks during my role as a Nanny with competence and enthusiasm. I am very willing to take direction and instruction from parents as well as enjoying autonomy over my day when busy parents simply do not have the time.
I have no issue undertaking household tasks when children are napping and like to fill my time helping families in any way I can.

I am an old fashioned kind of person and believe in manners, morals and values.. I 'practice what I preach' and strive to help raise happy kind confident respectful children who can be who they want to be no matter what that may be.

I am an active outdoors kind of Nanny who is happy to attend groups, classes, activities of your choosing. I will be outside exploring the world given every opportunity and If you are looking for a Nanny to watch over your little ones while they watch tv, play games on Xbox, Wii, IPads, phones etc I'm probably not the nanny for you, sorry. Not least because I am 'technologically impaired'.

I have always stayed with my families until the mutual end eg. families relocating for work or the youngest children starting full time school etc. I am passionate regarding my role as Nanny and want to give children a stable start as I believe this builds confidence, reassurance and trust which is incredibly important to me and of course to uphold my reputation as a trusted valued reliable Nanny.

I am still in contact with many of my previous employers who I would absolutely now class as friends who would be willing to give me verbal or written references.

I will be leaving my current family of 2 girls in September 2023 after 8 years as the youngest will start full time school.
My current employer will be more than happy to give references and answer any questions you may have.

My Qualifications

I am NNEB qualified and also hold a GNVQ in Health and Social care.

I have Paediatric First Aid which i renew every 3 years.

I have been OFSTED registered more than once over the years to enable parents to pay for childcare with Nanny vouchers however my recent clients have not needed this service therefore I am currently NOT registered with OFSTED
If you needed me to register I would be more than happy to do so if you were prepared to cover the cost of registering..

I have 27 years full time experience helping raise little ones which I enjoy immensely and see as an absolute privilege..

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £20.00 per hour (net)

I charge £18-20 per hour for my knowledge and experience which is inclusive of NI and Tax. (my current family pay £17.50)
Any fuel used purely for yourselves or your child’s needs will be charged at 55p per mile (my current family pay this).

I have been registered with OFSTED before to enable parents to pay me with nanny vouchers.
