I live in a four bedroom house in Wingham and have three beautiful children, a nine year old, five year old and a two year old. I worked for the NHS for 5 years which I loved but now I feel its time for a change and wish to spend more time with my children. My husband is an I.T. consultant who currently works at two local primary schools and six specialist education centres.
I run a fun, relaxed and caring setting where the kids get to explore lots of different areas of the eyfs. Enjoy playing at the park, splashing in muddy puddles and even bug hunting in the garden. We go on lots of outings including the wildlife park and different toddler and music groups.
My Experience
I have been childminding for nearly five years and in addition to my own experience I have two close friends who are also childminders. I spend quite a lot of time with other childminders at network groups and I frequently attend local toddler groups.

My Availability
My hours are 7.00 to 5.30 Monday to Friday, but I will work weekends for emergency cases only.

Katy has looked after my little girl since she was 9 months old. She’s now 3. She’s helped me out when I’ve needed and has been very consistent over that time. My little girl loves Katy, and Katy loves her. For me it was very important that wherever my little girl went she wouldn’t just be sat in front of the Tv all day and Katy delivers! They go to toddler groups, play at the local stables, go to the park, play in her toy filled garden and make lots of things. She’s very friendly and I completely trust my daughter with her. She was also extremely helpful when my daughter was toilet training! Cannot recommend her enough, if I have anymore children, as long as Katy is childminding I will look no further.

My little boy didn't enjoy nursery and was always really eager to leave everyday when I went to pick him up. When he moved to being with Katy everything changed for him. She provides a stimulating, fun environment in a family home. Katy works hard to ensure that the children she cares for get individual care and when my son had a difficult time, she put a train set he loved out for him before he arrived. She genuinely cares for the children in her care.
One thing that made a huge difference for my son was that Katy engages the children in her care with lots of out door play. They go to all sorts of activities, toddler groups, parks and events. The children are not just in the same room with the same toys every day. In the summer months they spent whole days outside: at the beach, the park, her garden. They do educational activities but also fun physical activities too.
Katy ensures the children she cares for feel at home in her house and she provides a family atmosphere. Katy has a dog that my son misses when he doesn't see him.

Katy has looked after my daughter since she was 10 months old when I went back to work after maternity leave. I found Katy on childcare.com, she was also recommended to me by two friends who she knows on a professional basis.
Katy has a really lovely manner with all the children in her care. She is always kind, calm and patient with the children and all the children are obviously very happy with her. What I particularly like about Katy is that all the children are out and about whatever the weather, always outside, at the wildlife park or at one of the many groups Katy goes to or runs.
Emma is so happy in Katy’s care and really loves her and her lovely family. I’ve been impressed by the variety of toys that Katy has, the time she spends with the children, her lovely family home and the variety of activities that Katy provides. I’ve really seen Emma progress since she’s spent time with Katy and the other children in her care. Whilst she’s pleased to see me at the end of the day Emma is never desperate to go home and always arrives at Katy’s with a smile.
Whenever I’ve visited Katy’s I’ve seen all the children happily and safely engaged. When I’ve been there at dinner times the food has looked and smelt very tasty. I’ve always felt very comfortable to ask questions about Emma and her day, and Katy always fills us in with what she and Emma have been up to.
I would not hesitate to recommend Katy as a child minder, Katy and her lovely family have been wonderful.

Our children, aged 2 and 5 have been going to Katy for several months. We are delighted with the way she has welcomed them into her home and made them feel settled and comfortable. They love spending time with her family and have formed strong friendships. Katy provides plenty of interesting activities to keep little people busy and they often come home with some lovely craft work. They are also given lots of opportunities to go out and about, or simply enjoy the garden. Katy has been an excellent support with practical matters such as potty-training and encouraging the children to eat well.
