About Me

Hello! I am Naomi Tute or Naomi the childminder and I am an Ofsted registered childcare provider based in Acomb, York.
I currently have spaces Tuesday - Thursday.

My normal opening hours are 8am-5pm Tuesday - Thursday. I operate term time only.

So, What do you get from my setting? I charge £5 an hour with all food and nappies included. I cook a hot nutritious meal at lunchtime and provide healthy snacks. I have a dedicated playroom where toys are rotated, I also have a large garden. I am currently resrarching and transferring my resources to be more natural and open ended.
I provide waterproofs, wellies in all sizes and sunhats to go outside in all weathers. I have a veg patch where we grow fruit and veggies together. I have a sensory/nature area in my garden set up with a garden kitchen, insect habitats, den building and bird watching.
I have my own 3 school age children as well as 3 pets that expand the children's experiences. I am a green setting so i use washable wipes, flannels and nappies as much as possible.
I am child led and i mostly plan in the moment, following the children's interests and needs. We read books, do messy play, sensory play, forest school activities and crafts.
I am a small setting where i focus on preschool children. So i can have 3 or 4 children during the day. The children are nurtured and allowed to grow in independence within my boundaries with positive praise. We go to local toddler groups, a cafe with a lovely playroom and parks/woods where we meet other children and grown ups so the children learn social skills.
During the summer months we like to go to local places like Beningbrough Hall, Murton Park and Askham Bryan wildlife park.
