About Me

Profile
I am a motivated and enthusiastic nanny, with a long term background in working with UHNW families. I have over ten years of experience of ages ranging from newborn up to teen. I have worked in settings requiring sole charge, proxy parenting and overnight care of young babies and most recently of working alongside parents that work from home. I love being a part of a little ones development, attending classes and play groups, researching and partaking in age appropriate activities, cooking healthy balanced meals and generally making families lives easier and run smoother.

My Experience

September 2023 - Present Day

A lovely part time role fitting around my full time hours for a first time family and their newborn. The baby was 3 months old at my first meeting with him. This role mainly involves helping the parents implement a good sleeping and feeding routine, providing advice on scheduling and milestones, taking the baby out to local groups/ the library for some stimulation and giving the mum some respite. Please note this is not a long term position as the baby has a place in nursery from February.

January 2022 - Present Day

A full time role caring for two lovely children (aged 7 months and 2 when i started). This role involves all aspects of child care; and has adapted over time now that the eldest has started school. I manage both childrens schedules, correspond with school and nursery, book classes and appointments and arrange playdates. I plan and cook balanced vegetarian meals for the week - sometimes batch cooking for the whole family when time allows. We enjoy doing crafts together, baking, attending playgroups and music classes and playing in the local parks. I have also travelled alot in this role - the most recent being a month long stay in spain. I communicate daily with the parents about what the children have been up to, any developments and anything they may need. This is such a fun job and i will be very sorry to leave but both children will be in full time school/ nursery early next year.

1st November 2021- 23rd of December 2021 Live in Temp Nanny Kent

Live-in role with a family of two children aged 11 months and 5. This role is sole charge care, however the mum is at home recovering from an operation so she is also around (the reason for the temporary contract). The day mainly involves care of the baby whilst the older child is at school, whilst helping the mum with anything she needs. Keeping up the baby's sleep and weaning schedule, nappy duties (the baby wears reusable nappies so also washing these and general laundry) feeding the baby, picking the eldest up from school, overseeing evening meal times for both and bath and bedtime. This is a very rural job so a lot of outdoor and animal activities for the children are involved!

10th September 2021 - 27th October 2021 Live in Temp Nanny Suffolk

Temp cover for a family of three children aged 2, 5 and 10. My role here was predominantly sole charge but some mixed care of the children. Initially this involved finding activities in the local area for the children such as farms, soft plays and beach days, some home schooling, making healthy balanced meals, carrying on with potty training of the youngest child and bed, bath time routines. The family transitioned the girls into school and nursery so this then involved doing the school run, housework and laundry for the children. This was a temporary role of a month whilst the family where transitioning to move to the UK though i have since been back for some baby sitting.

January 2021 – September 2021– Temporary Nanny with Tinies Childcare – Whilst I have been looking for a permanent role with a family I have been working with tinies to provide temporary/emergency nanny cover for a range of families with babies and children ranging in ages from 1 to 9. This has involved supporting families with mixed and sole charge care, planning fun activities in and out of the home, providing support with weaning and potty training, communicating with the parents to learn their current routine to make sure this is met and creating a safe and fun environment for the children whilst they are in my care.

2016 – January 2021 – Full time family help / groom for family of six, with seven horses. All forms of daily horse care such as feeding, cleaning and exercising. Two of the children competed in Show jumping on the national/international circuit so a large portion of my job was spent preparing for and travelling to competitions with the youngest children all over the UK, ensuring all their needs were met whilst we were away. This has given me great experience in managing the children’s schedules, taking care of all the health and fitness needs of the horses and being flexible to fit around the family’s needs.

2012 – 2016 – Live in Nanny. Full time nanny of three little girls under the age of three. The youngest was born in my first year of work so I have sole charge new-born experience. A normal day would involve waking and dressing the children, taking them to play and music groups, cooking meals, some general housekeeping for the family, bathing and bedtime. I helped the parents implement good routines for sleeping and mealtimes, so everyone was happy and well rested! The highlights of my job were making fun activities for the children, especially arts and crafts and playing outside with the family’s animals. I enjoyed researching fun groups to attend in the local area and exciting days out that suited each child. Most days I had sole charge of the children and although I lived in an adjoining cottage to the house I also had at least one sole charge sleep over a week and accompanied the family on holiday in the UK and France.
