About Us
Candover Valley Pre-School (Ofsted, Outstanding 2020) is a wonderful nurturing and caring rural setting situated in the grounds of Preston Candover Primary School.
Children from age 2-5 years
Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 3.15pm and Fridays 8.30am - 11.45am.
Local childminder provides wrap around care
We offer:

Play opportunities on the school field
Socially distanced play and stays for new starters along with a garden visit to the family home
Our children have a well-resourced and stimulating environment in which to play and learn. A fantastic provision for role play, puzzles, small group activities, arts, crafts and especially sensory and messy play! We absolutely love cooking every week with the children helping to make the playdough for everyone.
A cosy den area for relaxation and quiet time as well as lots of opportunities to read stories and chat. Our inside climbing frame is a firm favourite with the little ones for gross motor skills and role play experiences.
Our garden offers water play and a sandpit big enough to sit in with friends! There is a climbing frame with slide, mud kitchen and playhouse as well as more space for the children to grow flowers and plant seeds as well as play in the open air which is so important.
We are a very close team and work closely with parents to ensure all our children feel happy and supported during their time with us at pre-school. Regular contact with parents is important to us, including regular feedback and teacher/parent sessions to discuss anything you wish.
Where possible we offer the children the opportunity to visit local farms to enhance their pre-school learning experiences development.

I can thoroughly recommend Candover Valley Pre School to any parent in the area looking for a reliable pre school. My daughter is so happy and looks forward to going in everyday. The staff are second to none and are dedicated and committed to creating a safe, warm and nurturing environment for every child. Ofsted have viewed it as Outstanding again recently which is wonderfully reassuring and confirms my families experience of being part of this wonderful pre school.

I cannot recommend CVP enough as a stable, loving, supportive environment. My two children have loved attending, they have made friends, learned a lot and had a lot of fun. The key workers really tailor the activities to meet the needs of the children, the feedback is excellent and there is a lot of care and consideration that goes into making sure the children are stimulated, feel cared for and happy. Brilliant start for children.

I am delighted that my son attends the Candover Valley Pre-School (CVP) and that his siblings will follow in his footsteps. The pre-school and staff provide a wonderful, safe and exciting atmosphere for children from the age of 2 years old. The activities on offer each day are endless and the care is incredible. Children and their parents are always welcomed in to such a happy and kind environment.

CVP has been the most fantastic addition to my 2yr old boy's life. Previously he was quite clingy, but the warm, cheerful and stimulating manner of all the team has meant that he now runs in without looking back. The Head teacher Melanie continues to be an inspiration to me as a parent and I'd highly recommend anyone to send their child to this special place.

CVP is such a warm and welcoming place for both children and parents. It provides them with confidence and ensures they are well equipped to make the next step to school whilst all the time having fun. We have been so impressed that we have sent all 4 of our children there!
