About Me
My name is Hodo. I’m Ofsted registered childminder and Nanny. My business is fully insured. I speak and write fluent English. In addition to this, I also speak other languages such as Dutch and Somalie.
As a childminder and Nanny I have a good understanding of the new EYFS and will be applying it in my practice. I offer no smoking and nurturing environment with resources to stimulate the children I care for. Through looking after diversity of children, I develop a passion of working with autistic children as well as HDHD.
I have been a full time nanny for the past 10 months to twin boys who were 6 months old when I arrived , they are in my sole care while their parents are at work. I have been a full time and part time nanny for lots of other families with children across a range of ages from 5 months to 8 years old.
The activities given to children in my care will be appropriate for their age. This will consist of sand, water play, painting, construction toys, story time and much more. The children will also benefit from outdoor activities such as visiting parks and playgroups. I observe children in my care to monitor their progress and to also work with the child’s parent to help achieve high standard of education.
I provide fresh cooked meal on a daily bases.
I am close distance from Local Schools/nurseries e.g Wormholt Park School, Ark Swift Academy, Pope John School, Randolph Beresford Day nursery and a good transport link: bus 283, bus 95, 220, 72, 70, 7, 272, 228. I am one minute away from Queen Charlotte Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, White city train station and shepherds bush train station.
My Experience
I have many years of experience in the childcare field. I am currently a full time nanny for 16 month twins who I have been with since they were 6 month. I have also been a nanny to other babies, toddlers and school aged children. Through these I've learnt to take on responsibility and challenges whilst supporting children of all age. I have excellent knowledge of the fun and educational programs and I use it as a tool to support children when planning fun, exciting and challenging activities.
My Qualifications
I am qualified to Level 2 in Child Care, Level 2 Paediatric First Aid, Level 2 Food Hygiene, Level 2 Certificate in Safeguarding and Prevent Duty Awareness Certificate. I have children of my own that I look after.
My Availability
I am able to offer children a place starting from age 0+ years. I provide care all year round and I am flexible. I do drop off/pick up.
I accept child care costs through government schemes. Discount can be offered depending on parental needs. I am able to work 7:30-6:00pm Monday to Friday and I offer flexibility hours. I also provide overnight care.

The wonderful Hodo has looked after our twins since Jan 2023 and will sadly be leaving us in December 2023 as we are moving to the country. She arrived when Seb & Arlo were 6 months and from the moment she arrived she felt like part of the family. She was totally unfazed by twins being a mother of 4 and having been a childminder. She is the most upbeat and optimistic person I know and the boys adore her. She is a wonderful cook and has introduced the boys to lots of wonderful food meaning they are great eaters. She keeps the boys very busy going to playgroups every morning with trips to the playground in the afternoon and she is always engaging them and teaching them new skills to ensure they hit their developmental milestones. She has helped me bring up two very happy and sociable little boys. She has stuck to my routine and also recommended changes along the way. She keeps the boys play area and bedroom tidy and is happy to do their washing and ironing. She is very tidy, incredibly punctual and never late. If anyone is looking for a nanny, i couldn't recommend Hodo more! We will be very sad to leave her in December!

I was quite excited to meet this lady but she arranged to meet me twice and failed to show up twice. Not heard from her since. Shame!

The first time I was going to see you my tire punctured. The second time, my nah was in hospital after having a stroke and this is my first day back coming home to my kids. So for you to write that review about me was completely unnecessary but good luck with your search .
On return to work one year after having my first child, I searched extensively for childcare in my area and found Hodo. Originally only meant to help out for 6 months and ended up being 2 years. I didn't feel nursery was right for my one yr old and wanted her to have a more intimate setting of care while i was at work. Hodo is a wonderful, flexible, caring and reliable childminder and my little girl became part of the family until Sept 2019 now she is ready for a nursery setting. Hodo's input has been so invaluable and it was so good to be able to go to work and not worry about my little one, Hodo is always positive and full of energy and we will miss her very much. I am happy to recommend her to anyone looking for childcare in and around W12 area and am happy to be contacted for further information.
