Hello my name is Jennie, I'm 50 years old. I live with my husband and our two boys one 16 years old and the other is five years old. We also have a cat called Domino and our 1 year old labrador Rocket. We stay only a short distance from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, M8 and the Clyde tunnel. I have been a childminder for four years now.I used to work with the NHS when my youngest was born but I was let down by the person who cared for him at that time. So I made the big decision to look into childminding. I don't regret giving up my work with the NHS to be able to give my youngest son the best start in life, as i found it also difficult to find childcare for both my boys in the same setting and this is what I would like to give your child. It's totally understandable that it is hard to find that right person who you will have to trust to look after your child. I hope that this person could be me. I want your child to be able to develop, learn and have lots of fun playing. We spend lots of our time outside if that be in the garden, park or just taking walks. We will do arts and crafts, baking or just sit on the bean bags and have a look at books and read stories. The kids enjoy when we listen to nursery rhymes and put the bubble machine on, they run around catching the bubbles and laughing. We try and do some educational trips like to the library, museum and farms. In my setting your child will learn the same as in a nursery. The only difference is that they have a home to home environment with a smaller ratio, giving them a higher chance to develop. I have experience in looking after children of ages ranging from newborn to teenagers. During the week we attend play groups.We have a good sized garden with toys for all ages. We have toys for all ages if that be plastic or wooden, most of these are educational or older toys to help the toddlers start to role play and learn to play with others. My Experience
I was a Nanny back in the 1989- 1995. I have two children of my own a 15 year old and a 5 year old.I have been a childminder for over 4 years now. I am a community childminder. I am registered with Glasgow city council to give funded early learning childcare for 2,3,and 4 year old. Your child can get 1140 hours a month funded free childcare. I am also in the middle of a college course that at the end will make me a childminder practitioner.

My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm. I would like to do my best to help NHS workers as I worked with the NHS before this and I know how difficult it is to find child care. At this moment in time I have places available. I am willing to do pick ups and drop offs in a reasonable distance.
