About Me
CAROL’S HOUSE is based in a quiet cul de sac with ample parking, in the heart of Fleet.
I pride myself on running a professional childcare service in a clean, well-equipped environment.
It is important to me that children feel welcome and loved in a stimulated environment. I work in partnership with parents to ensure their child/ren receive the best care possible. I use different methods of communication and ensure that parents are up to date with their child/ren's daily experiences and progress.
I live in a spacious home with a lovely, bright play area which allows for lots of sensory and messy play.
I have a well equiped garden where the children can enjoy climbing, sliding, bouncing, sand and water play and chalking on the patio, , etc.
I have sensory trays which we rotate on a weekly basis and treasure baskets for every curious little mind! We do painting, sticking, junk modelling, play dough, playing with gloop (cornflour and water), cutting and threading to name but a few activities and experiences. The children love to put their chef hats on, weighing, pouring, mixing and baking, to proudly present it to mum and dad!
We dust off our “green fingers” during Spring/Summer ~ preparing our plant pots and vegetable trough ~ then watch our flowers and vegetables grow as we carefully care for them. Our “bugs & butterfly” theme proves to be a highlight every year as we watch the caterpillars turn into butterflies before we set them free in the garden!
The children eat healthy snacks during snack time, which include a variety of fruits. All meals are home cooked - a weekly menu is available on request. I cater for children with specific dietry requirements.
I believe the children in my care have to experience a home-from-home time with me. I follow the same sleep routines they have at home and use Kinderly to send photos, videos and to keep up to date records of their progress and development. Kinderly is a wonderful communication tool for both parents and myself.
We play in the garden every day - wellington boots and wet suits often come in handy! The children love to cook up a storm in our very popular mud kitchen.
Den building in our local woodland takes high priority amongst children. Their imaginations run wild during these sessions!
We love to visit a local animal farm to link in with the “The Farm” topic. You will be notified in advance of this and any other upcoming trips. Usually all costs are covered by me.
We often visit the local library to exchange books and share a story or two.
You are welcome to contact me for any further information and to arrange an informal visit so we can discuss your child's needs.
My Experience

My daughters have been with Carol since they were 11 months and 2.5 years, and Carol has been wonderful. They have been going for a year and a half now and love their days at Carol’s house. They have learned so much and made some lovely friends. They have so much fun doing crafts and playing in the beautiful garden. Carol is very kind and caring, and also really helpful and flexible. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

We were so lucky to find Carol when we moved to Fleet. My daughters started with Carol when they were 11 months old and 3 years old and have been with her for 3 years. Carol looks after my youngest full time and now provides wrap around care for my eldest. Carol has always provided them a lovely, caring, fun-filled setting! Carol is very reliable and organised and she is a wonderful person to know. We highly recommend Carol!

My son started with Carol when he was 13 months old and it has been the best decision I’ve made, as he absolutely loves his days at Carols house. Carol is amazing and offers so many opportunities for my son to develop through the different activities she offers and also trips out and about. My son has a wonderful bond with Carol and has also made lots of friends. The meals Carol provides are excellent and her setting is always spotless with a great selection of toys. Thank you.

My daughter has been with Carol since she was 9 months old. She is now 2.5 years and loves every day at carols house. Fun, clean, healthy food, adventures and lots of singing. We noticed our daughters development immediately and she’s grown so much over the past 2 years and made some great friends. I can’t recommend her enough xxx
