About Me
I am 30yrs old and live with my husband and 2 sons. We moved to Edinburgh from Yorkshire August 2011. I was previously registered with Ofsted as a Childminder in Yorkshire after 7yrs as a Qualified Dental Nurse. It has always been my dream to work with children and after having my son I decided to start childminding. It is my aim to provide a safe, warm, caring environment where your child will also have lots of fun and I will work following the guidelines. I am also currently in the process of studying the BA Childhood practice and a member of the NDNA.
I live in a large semi-detatched house close to Longstone Primary School
My Experience
I have had many wonderful years working with children from 6mths old to 11yrs since registering with the Care Inspectorate in April 2012. The majority being in the early years age group. I was also registered with Ofsted prior to my move to Edinburgh. This also included caring for twin girls who we're under my care from being 6mths old. My daily activities involve playgroup, nursery and school drop offs, trips to the park, local farm and playcentres. I also ensure that during the time spent with children within my home we do arts + crafts, baking and gardening. As I also detail in my regular monthly newsletter I work with the children in different projects to encourage their development. I also have experience in working in children's nurseries.
My Qualifications
I have just been inspected by the Care Inspectorate and awarded grades 5 in all areas that I am very proud of :-)
I am currently studying for my degree BA Childhood Practice.
I have successfully completed the NVQ Level 3 Childrens Care, Learning and Development. I also hold Diploma in Child Psychology
I have sucessfully completed Paediatric First Aid course
I have also attendend a Childminders Pre-Registration course and attended a number of training sessions since July 2010. These being Nutrition for Under 5's, Food Hygiene, How to Develop a Food Policy, Introduction to Safeguarding and Basic Safeguarding. I have also recently done the level 4 in managing child protection. I have also attended training courses on Building the Ambition and How Good Is Our Early Learning and Childcare.
My Availability
I will be available Monday - Friday And flexible on the hours. This includes Bank Holidays and School Holidays.
I am also willing to do the occasional weekends with prior notice.
I will be able to do school drop-offs and pick ups

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.75 per hour
£4.75 per hour during normal working hours.
Discounts may be available for additional siblings upon agreement of hours of attendance
All prices include meals/snacks and drinks. However during outings you may be required to provide a healthy packed lunch for which you will be given 2wks notice.
