About Me
Hello my name is Amanda; I'm an ofsted registered childminder in the Nunhead area of SE15, Nunhead train station is under a minute walk from my home; and i'm a minute walk from the telegraph hill area; my location is on the border of the Lewisham borough; and Southwark borough starts across the road.
My surrounding areas are Telegraph hill; New Cross Gate and Brockley; Queens Rd Peckham ,Peckham Rye .
I offer a warm and friendly home from home environment for your child; incorporating the EYFS frame work for learning through daily activities.
My 1ST ofsted inspection grading gave me a grade 2 = good. My 2nd Ofsted inspection took place 2016 and have maintained my grading of good. My 3rd took place in 2019 and again retained a grade 2= good.
My local schools are Haberdashers hatchem temple grove located in the Telegraph hill area; Edmund Waller primary, Hollydale primary and Ivydale primary.
I'm a mother of two grown up children and also a grandmother of four and have been a member of the nunhead community for many years.
My local transport facilities are;
Nunhead and Queens Rd Peckham railway stations.
Local bus routes are; the P12 and 78.
Free parking available.
My Experience
I have over 10 years experience as a ofsted registered childminder in my area and enjoy my time with the children in my care, its a very rewarding job seeing a child grow in confidence in all areas of their development.
I have raised two children of my own and enjoy being a Grandmother.
I have worked voluntarily at our local play group when my children were attending and found it to be an enjoyable experience.
I have also worked in Health and Social care for seven years where i had the role of Supervisor.
Please feel free to contact me, come along and visit my setting; i have a playroom fully equipped with age appropriate toys and activities, something for all ages.
My Qualifications
As a mother of Two I look at that as a qualification in it's self; i have a pediatric first aid certificate; childcare qualification along with other Certificates gained through training relivent to Childcare.
I also have NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care.
I hold a full driving licence; have Ofsted and CRB check certificates, valid Childminder car insurance and valid TAX and MOT, Buisness Liability Insurance child carseats and child locks in my car.
My Availability
Available 47 weeks of the year Monday to Friday; 0800 hrs till 1800 hrs.
I do not operate on bank holidays / Xmas day / boxing day or new years day.
I offer a drop off / pick up from local schools; before and after school care and I'm available during all half terms and 6 weeks holidays; all day care is also available and offer a tailor made package where i pick children up in the mornings from home to fit your requirements.

I’ve been with Amanda for over a year now, and I can honestly say she provides an outstanding service!
She is highly organised, punctual, honest, fair, easy to work with and absolutely brilliant with my daughter. She’s a god send and I’m so grateful that I found her.

I was cautious about getting a childminder, but I have to say finding amanda was the best thing I've ever done! My son loves going there, she is lovely, kind, helpful couldn't ask for more from her!
Kids are well looked after, in a caring and safe environment!
