My Experience

As a level 4 practitioner I take my role as a childcare provider seriously and as such like to ensure that Children and Parents feel secure within my home - providing a welcoming, safe and caring space. I have experience with new borns, toddlers, twins and SEN children too.
My childcare setting is run along the same expectations as a Nursery. Policies, Procedures, curriculum and Risk Assessments are all in place for parents to view where required however unlike a nursery, my routines are more flexible and can be tailored to meet each child's individual needs and as the Key Worker I am able to regularly provide both focused 1-on-1 time and group activities.

I keep up to date with all the changes that are taking place within Childcare as a field and I apply them with pride. We regularly attend drop-ins and local events, host seasonal activities that teach whilst also being fun.

I use baby massage as a soothing technique that helps the settling in process for babies and builds a bond where they feel cared for. I also host afternoon Toddler yoga sessions that promote balance (an important skill to support learning) and encourage emotional wellness with children.

I encourage children to express themselves through play which is essential to learning and development.
We spend time with books, writing, rhyme time, musical play and sensory play. I also provide children with a variety of resources that cover all areas of learning. I have a large outdoor garden where we participate in outdoor games and toys and messy play and (weather permitting) a free-flow from indoors to outdoors

I am a great believer in healthy eating and encourage children to explore new flavours and textures and I like to get even the youngest children cooking (which is messy but great fun!) and for the last few years we have been growing Plants, Fruits and Veg from seedlings to harvest -including the cooking and eating. This year we are growing Tomatoes, strawberries and onions.

Every child has a daily diary update, a weekly diary sheet & termly reports.. During the 'settling-in' process there are regular updates and photos shared with parents to easy any separation anxiety too! I use individual tracking and planning for every child.
I also provide 2 year reports for health visitors, end of year reports and termly newsletters, transition reports and shared planning.

I'd be more than happy to discuss your needs as a parent/carer and I'm always delighted to meet with prospective parents as I feel it's the best way a parent gets a better feel of Me and my setting!

I am also able to offer funded placements for 2, 3 and 4 year olds as well as the 30 hour offer to eligible families.

My fees include all costs incurred with the exception of formula.

My Qualifications

I frequently take training in an effort to continue to develop my practical skills and knowledge base. This includes safeguarding, SENco, Paediatric First Aid and many others and I'm happy to share my Personal Development Portfolio with any prospective clients.

In 2018 I was honoured to be a Childminder representative within the HEYL (Healthy Early Years London) as an advocate for home grown, healthy cooking which was acknowledged by the Local Authority and the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan to launch the HEYL initiative.

I have a number of happy clients who will gladly provide excellent references.

My most recent inspection report was November 2022 where I was graded OUTSTANDING by Ofsted

• Childminding from £9.00 per hour

I provide funding of all criteria from universal 15 hours to 30 hours.

I am able to provide 15 and 30 hours free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds

I accept Childcare Vouchers

I am registered to receive Tax Free Childcare payments

As a registered childminder you can also claim a percentage of your childcare costs
from Working Family Tax Credits.
