About Me
Jayne's House Childminding.
I am an ofsted registered 'outstanding 2013/2014' childminder EY467666. I am also a mum of 2.
My husband Paul joined me in May 2019 and is Ofsted registered also. He has completed a full 22year career in the RAF and is a local school governor.
In October 2019 we had Jo join our team, she is assisting us in being the best we can be for all our children's learning journeys.
Together we enjoy being part of all the children's learning journeys whether using our house, garden, allotment or attending a variety of classes.
My Experience
I was introduced to childminding at the age of 10 when my mum started her journey. I have been able to see first hand the impact and rewards you get from helping children grow and learn.
Paul was introduced to childminding when I started, he has seen how important all the experiences and activities are to every child and the positive effects they have on their individual learning journeys. He is currently training as a forest school leader, this will add a further dimension to all our children's learning.
We as a team are constantly adapting our activities and experiences to help all the children in our care grow and learn in a fun and relaxed environment. Making sure everyone is prepared and school ready for their next journey into reception class. To help us in our mission we added Jo to the team, as a mum herself and with some SEN experience she is an invaluable part of Jayne's house.
My Qualifications
I have completed an introductory to childminding course, done relevant first aid training and attended a child safe guarding course. Due to my busy working week I like to top up my training online, basing my courses around my own work and choosing courses that will add to my knowledge and understanding in areas specific to me, and will ultimately help me to help the children I work with.
During 2016 I attended various speech and communication courses as well as Autism and communication courses.
So far in 2017, I have completed online training for CAF, food safety, FGM, the prevent duty and behaviour training.
During 2018 I have been on schemas training and am continuing to further my training in speech, language and communication areas.
During 2019, we have all attended our Paediatric First Aid training. Paul has also completed Peterborough councils Childminding course including safeguarding.
My Availability
We currently have no space until the earliest September 2021, this will be a term time only space.
We will also inform of any spaces available on our Facebook page.
We can drop off to Stanground St John's Primary School and Stanground St John's Preschool.
We can pick up from Stanground St John's Primary School and Stanground St John's Preschool.
