My name is Donna McLachlan and I live in the East End of Glasgow , Baillieston area.
I am fully Registered Childminder with the CARE INSPECTORATE(Care Commission) maintaining my Excellent Grading .I also am a member of the SCMA since 2009
I am fully Qualified in Childcare Learning and Development and I hold various other certificates.
I am in Partnership with Glasgow City Council for the Eligible 2’s funding and also the 3-5 funding .
I live with my husband and my two lovely daughters, both daughter has full honours degrees and are now in full employment.
I am a non-smoker
I am a fun loving,enthusiastic person who has a passion for caring for children.
I offer a clean safe and secure home from home environment .
I support all children in my care with their Learning and Development.
I plan lots of activities and outings for the children in my care
We attend toddler groups, library, bounce & rhyme , parks , country walks.
Home activities are, home baking, activities which are theme led, music time, story time.dress-up,messy play,cultural activities,arts and crafts , sensory activities , loose parts activities and free play,all activities are professionally planned and supervised
I organize Eater egg hunts,Halloween and Christmas parties with a visit from Santa for the children all are planned in advance
I work in partnership with parent with potty training, number and colour recognition,self awareness,early independence,social and life skills,gross and fine motor skills and much more.
I also prepare your child for the transition to Primary School.
My aims are to offer a safe and secure home from home environment for each child to play grow and learn

My Experience
Having two girls of my own is great experience in itself as well as being volunteer at local schools and nurseries for years before becoming a Registered Childminder
I have been childminding since 2009 and I love my job.Being part of each child's learning and development is a blessing.And I work using The Wellbeing Wheel to support each child's needs
I also hold SVQ level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development and various other qualifications.

Being a father of two children, Erin aged seven and Niall aged three, it is imperative to me and my wife Suzanne that both our children in this day and age are safe at all times
Our eldest Erin ,now at school and flourishing well had previously went to children’s nursery close to our family home for four years before making the graduated step to starting primary school
We then decided that our son Niall should also attend the same nursery his big sister went to, he had been there for a few months until I heard about the service Donna provided in her family home , We then chose to remove Niall from the nursery and send him to Donna two days per week.
The improvement we have seen with niall is outstanding, and just wish we had been able to have Donna look after Erin rather than send her to the nursery
All in all service provided is nothing short of excellent
Overall
Over the past two years Donna has taken care of my two children. She has provided pre and after school care for my eldest daughter (10) and through the day care for my other daughter (2).
Donna, not only provides quality childcare in a homely environment but she plans and organises many fun educational visits and has taught my children many different relevant themes. She offers a variety of experiences to suit the individual needs of each of my children. Her own family work and mix well with all the children in her care and are a true asset not only to her but also to her business which in my opinion is a home from home!
I am kept informed of all their activities, through her newsletters, photograph albums, assessment folders and our daily diary.
Donna's qualifications are apparent in her highly professional manner, her clear policies and her wonderful communication. I was able to return to work with great confidence knowing my children were in very capable hands.
Most importantly my children are all very happy in Donna's care and speak highly of her.
It is for all these reasons that I would unreservedly recommend Donna to anyone looking for childcare.

Overall
My little boy has been going to Donna's for 3 months now and I couldnt be happier. She is worth her weight in gold and more, as he is my only child it was a worrying thought going back to work and leaving him with someone but that quickly changed the minute i walked into her house. Its a great relief dropping him off knowing he'll have a fun filled day of stories, song time, toddler group and so so much more. Donna has a lovely home environment that you would never get from a nursery is something i was particluarly keen to have. it's lovely to see my boy come home and do the actions for songs that he has learned and so much more. Donna proivides healthy food for lunches along with fruits and yoghurts. I cant reccommend Donna enough.
