About Me
Highly qualified and experienced maternity nurse.
I consider myself a friendly, approachable person :) hopefully you agree! I completed my Childcare Diploma in 2005, and although I have tried other fields, I always come back to childcare. In the past few years, I have come to realise that taking care of little ones is what makes me the happiest :) I hold OCN recognised qualifications in Maternity Nursing and Breastfeeding. My hobbies include yoga, writing, painting, arts and crafts, movies and telling and making up stories.
I favour a gentle approach to childcare and believe that our children’s mental health is just as important as their physical health. The children in my care will always be cherished, respected and never shamed for any “negative” emotions. Discipline and boundaries will be maintained at all times but in an age appropriate way.
I don’t practise any harsh sleep training methods and instead work with a baby’s natural rhythm and developmental progress, which in turn helps them sleep through all the quicker, in my professional experience!

My Experience
I have worked in multiple personal homes as a nanny/childminder/babysitter, and 2 nurseries as a key worker. I also completed 2 years of a 3 year child nursing course, and have been working with children either full or part time ever since I started my training in 2005. I now mostly work with newborns as a maternity nurse and have extensive newborn twin experience.

CACHE Diploma level 3 (grade AAA)
OCN Maternity Nurse Level 4
OCN Breastfeeding Training- Level 3
ABM Breastfeeding Support Foundation Training.
OCN Sleep in Children and Sleep Training - Level 3
GroBrain foundation course (infant mental health).
Paediatric First Aid certificate
CERT HE Child Nursing.
BA HONS Degree, Classical and Archaeological studies with comparative literature.
Training certificates in Safeguarding Children, Challenging Behaviour, Safe Sleeping in Babies- Reducing the risk of SIDS, Food Hygiene, FGM Awareness, Drug and Medicine Awareness, Basic Medicine Administration.
Current DBS certificate.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Maternity Nursing from £22.00 per hour (gross)
Maternity Nursing: £400 per 24 hours single, £450 twins.
Hourly: £22 single, £25 twins.
Evening babysitting: £15 per hour
Please note that as I am self employed, I take care of my own tax and national insurance. It is also up to me to pay for the upkeep of all my training, which is of course vital when working with children. I do not charge travel costs, nor are there any agency fees if you hire me directly, so please be assured that the price you see is the total amount you will pay.
