About Me

I am a 26 year old first time mum and nursery deputy manager. I was a teacher in reception for 4 years prior to having my son too, and have experience across the primary age range too. I specialised in Early Years at University and am super passionate about the early development of the whole child, but also have a strong interest in early phonics/reading. I am extremely organised, responsible, bubbly and fun. I love the outdoors, too!

My Experience

Throughout the last 10 years I have worked with a range of families nannying and babysitting children between the ages of 3 months-12 years. My role has been varied with each job and has included sole and shared charge nannying, nanny housekeeping, babysitting, school runs, tutoring and so much more. I am always open to a new role and willing to work with a family to give them what they need!

I have a CV and references available upon request.

My Qualifications

I have a Masters in Primary Education with a specialism in Early Years Foundation stage. During my degree I undertook additional specialist modules in English as an Additional Language and outdoor education.

When teaching I took an interest in phonics and early reading, leading this area across my last school.

Regrettably I have to only give one star. I booked Jodi to come babysit our little boy during my little sisters wedding where I was MoH. At 4.30am on the day of the wedding she cancelled.

The reason for the cancellation seemed to have been known or at the very least strongly suspected for a few days. The cancellation was one thing but having no time to find an alternative was another. It meant that I spent the morning of the wedding and some of the reception on my phone trying desperately to find an alternative after eventually giving up. My husband had to then miss most of my sisters wedding which was very upsetting, as it was going to be our first night out together since the baby.

I'd also tried a number of times to arrange a very quick video call with Jodi just really to say hi as I wanted to make sure she matched with her documents (you just never know with the Internet) but even though we arranged a few we weren't able to have a call. This was a little frustrating and I eventually gave up asking.

From jodis documents we were really confident in having her look after our son as she seemed lovely on paper, but obviously the last minute cancellation with no other options was extremely extremely disappointing.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. Again, I can only offer my most sincere apologies. My son had what seemed a fairly normal illness in the week, one my husband was entirely capable of handling while I babysat, therefore I did not feel the need to cancel. On Saturday at 10pm he spiked a temperature and became unresponsive, requiring hospital admission. As a result I did not feel comfortable leaving him at all on Saturday. I do understand how frustrating that must have been for you, but my son is always my pain priority (as I’m sure yours is). Kind regards.
